major problem!? never seen this.

Alright so i watered my outdoor girls last night. So this morning i walk out to check on them and on the top of the soil making almost a full circle around the edge of the soil was like a black sand or a gun powder, very fine, and you can see it moving!! either it was a bunch and i mean a bunch of mites or some alien fungus or something. i spray them with a 3-in-1 miticide, insecticide, fungicide and they're not moving now but what the heck was that?

it sounds like aphids.. but they arent quite as small as you made the unknown pest out to be... and they would be found on the stem of the plant, not the soil... although they may crawl around on the ground occasionally..
