major problem

. I have some plants that I've been battling with for the past couple weeks. I thought toxicity but flushed, still problems then I thought deficiancy still problem well I'm 50 days into flower about 75 percent of myvfan leaves have died and wilted off. Recently I notice the plant was very root bound ( probably because I mixed hydroton with my peat moss thinking it would help with drainage, and keep the soil loose). So I very carefully cut the bottom 2 " of pot off (very root bound completely white at bottom) then place them in a identical pot that had about 6" of just peat moss. Notice the foxtailing/running? Is that from being rootbound? Because I also have some sort of insect hundreds of them in each pot....... I thought they were fungus gnsts but there's none flying around they ate just in the soil. Best way to describe them the are very small, long bodied and they have like a silver or metallic color to them

Anybody got any input?

shit-can this grow. do not repeat same mistakes next grow. these plants are toast, and will never produce, imo.

with 50 days into flower I'd just let them finish and harvest what I could.

looks fungal ..something inside .prob caused by a combination of little things adding up. cut off all dead parts and bits , before surface mould appears. mildue issues....google it,,,,,that didnt happen overnite..yor up take has stopped due to saturation or much toxic salt build up ...get a decent grow book, keep it simple and keep your ph inn check, this is often the first 'happening' in the downward spiral...anyway better luck in the future...and the bugs dont help in any case

the first two pics could be bud rot although im not seeing much bud. are you sure your flowering? your lights need to be off for at least 12 hours a day. the last pick looks like its still in vedge

root aphid maybe

I have 2 plants in 5g buckets same nutes, same soil, same light they are perfect. I have a grow tent and plenty of intake and outtake airflow humidity never above 50% during flowering. And of course I know to 12/12 them i have no auto flowering strains.

So this is like csi for weed; find what happened to that corpse
I therorize.
1 plants were ok but underfed
2 buds foxtailed so he went in during dark
3 took plant from pot saw mass of white healthy roots cut them off mid flower
4 overeferted but plants had no roots causeing dieback and reverting to veg...

this is a silverfish

Its most likely the bugs you could dig into the bud and look for grey mold

SILVERFISH DONT ATTACK ROOTS OR LIKE WET PLACES ..DAMP IS FINE ..NOT WET...those bugs tho...wtf...look like spotted stripped mealy bugs...

IMO i would just cut that P O S down, Its got revegged growth, and half of it is dead. I think its a health hazard to have that indoors

Sometimes you just have to cut your losses. Get them out and have a good bleach clean up.

Get a load of clones to save some time and do a quicker shorter crop, ie 16-20 in a sq M.
