Make no mistake: Medicare for All would cut taxes for most Americans

when premiums, co-pay and out-of-pocket disappear, will you still be laughing?

according to the Federal Government Budgeting Guidelines, health is supposed to be 5% of your income..is it? would you like it to be?

you're worried about your taxes increasing for YOU, yet when increased they go to the 1% in tax cuts- this has already happened..did you PAY FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST APRIL 15th? many of my friends have to the tune of $1-2K, and that went right into the pockets of the wealthy..why aren't you upset about this?

Medicare is too important to too many people for Bernie to make false claims about covering everybody through it.

I think you're quite wrong there. Many people also have jobs (multiple jobs in many cases) and work hard, but do not have health insurance due to lack of socioeconomic privilege.
Privilege is something that is unearned

I earn benefits of health insurance through working, I have a job that provides that for me, it's not a privilege.

Except those premiums, co pays and out of pocket expenses aren't going to magically disappear. We will all be paying higher taxes.

Instead of calling them premiums, co pays and out of pocket expenses, they'll now be called.........

Higher taxes

While that may be true, it may also be true that you have some privilege which helped to enable you to get that good job which provides you such insurance. If you are either white or male in the US, you indeed do have privilege.

Bernie's bill doesn't cover those people.
Weird, I wonder why section 102 of the bill says otherwise:

SEC. 102. UNIVERSAL ENTITLEMENT.
(a) In General.—Every individual who is a resident of the United States is entitled to benefits for health care services under this Act. The Secretary shall promulgate a rule that provides criteria for determining residency for eligibility purposes under this Act.

Get the fck out of here with that bullshit!

I paid for CDL school out of my own pocket, no one gave me a loan for school because I'm white

I have a truck driving job because I have a CDL, no one let's me drive a truck just because I'm white.

It fucking does not matter what color you are, if you don't have a CDL then you're not getting a trucking job

I started in the work force younger than most (13), and also as a small business and home owner, I've paid plenty of taxes in my life. I never have had any issue with paying taxes, I've only had issue with how they are spent. I'm perfectly happy to pay more taxes for better medical care at large for the society I'm a part of.

All I can suggest is that you educate yourself. Here is a great book to help you understand (written by a white male btw):

Full disclosure: I am a white male myself

I do wish your kind would actually read that bill rather than tell us what you want it to say.

The bill doesn't provide how to pay for it. No money, no services. This isn't rocket science or a fantasy game.

Does that mean I no longer pay school taxes on the homes I own , since I have no kids?

I'm not sure where you are coming up with that from. My point was that if we all contribute to society as a whole, then as a whole we will have a better society. I pay taxes on my home, but my kids don't go to public school. I'm not asking for that money back, because I know that it's helping the kids across the street get an education, and then they are less likely to rob me in the future because they won't be in as of a desperate situation.

I think it's pretty obvious how it will be paid for. It doesn't need to be written into the bill. You are focusing on minutia, which is distracting you from the big picture.

It is "obvious"? Is that how laws are written?

Not a single person can be covered under Bernie's plan because none of those services are paid for. For examples of how well unplanned for changes in government programs go, look no further than just about everything Trump has tried to do.

350 million people depend on a smooth-running healthcare system. Though we support single payer universal healthcare coverage, most people don't support Bernie's bill because it doesn't include the kind of details needed that would make for a well planned change to a single payer system.

You keep arguing for universal healthcare coverage and most in the US agree it is needed. With that kind of political mandate we expect more than the unfunded medical care legislation that Bernie submitted to the Senate.

Bernie's medicare for all bill is typical of "fake it till you make it" hucksterism. Most people aren't taken in by that. Some are.

ummmmmmm actually it does..but I'll bite.. what, praytell, do you mean?

Bernies bill covers exactly THOSE people..don't forget how much your mom LOVES Medicare..time to share the wealth- betchya I've paid more into the system than she and have seen jack shite for it!

actually you can let mom know that this whitey is supporting her- it's my turn now.

That's not true. That number only counts if everyone in America has healthcare, but as it stands, only the people who are not priced out depend on a smooth running healthcare system. A disproportionate number of those who can't afford it are minorities.

Careful, your privilege is showing. It's pretty cool to be white in America, huh?

You just don't want to pay for it, hypocrite!
