I have found that there is a distinct clarity in real absynthe that is almost - almost, worth drinking that nasty anisey licorishy burning alcohol stuff. I can't say I was any more creative and there were not hallucinations or even distortions but I believe it to be definitely psychoactive. the loaching is cool though.
