The plants that you have grown from seed are now 1 ft tall,so it is time for the flowering room. You can always hold one back or just take a couple of clone's of each plant this is what i do.When my plants go into the flowering room i have normaly vegged them for a week or 2 to gain that extra height and better internode pattern that you don't get with flouresents or cfl's.The first thing i do is change the timers make sure that they both work better to be safe than sorry. Then i only ever grow a max of 6 plants but mormaly 4 for my own use i don't sell any of my cannabis.I flush the plants put all 4 pots in the bath and flush with water ph of 5.0/5.5 nothing other that water never understand why folks buy the product called flush you want all the feed and natural salt build up's out so why add another. When flushing make sure that when you start there will be a kind of froth from the nutrients on the surface of the tubs.Make sure that you keep flushing till this has completly gone this is a good indicater that the grow medium is clean.I then leave the plants to stand for about 3/5 hours so the rest of the flush can run through, while this is going on i am busy makeing up fresh flowering nutrients that i add then leave the plants in the bath for about another hour. The reason for leaveing the plants in the bath is so that you are not takeing all that water to the grow area.If there is water around you will get fungus nats and i don't want them but i still have at least two fly strips in each room. Now for the start of flowering i always put my plants on a total 24 hour black out it is up to you if you do this or not but i think i gain at least a week by doing this. This seems to trigger the plant into getting ready to flower. The feed that i use is vitalink a and b and after week 2 i ad 1ml of buddy to every ltr of water added. I only ever make the feed up when needed now if you are growing alot of plants then you will have to make large batches up but the ph will change even with a pump in to create air, movement of the water a pump is a must if you are gonna make large batches up.Because i have flushed my plants im starting with a fresh medium so i add 4ml to every ltr of water full ammount recomended this feed will continue for 2 week. After 2 week i add 1 ml to every ltr of water of buddy great product if you don't over do it.The plants will continue to recive this feed up untill about 4 week in then i will add a few drops of mallasess to the other nutrients that i'm feeding. This is another product that you have to be careful with because it has a habbit of attracting insects.Get into the habbit of flushing don't be a lazy gardener and the plants will reward you when the cycle is finished.I flush once everyweek on the same day once the grow medium has run clean i leave them to stand for about 3/5 hours till most of the run of has gone.Just before thetime is up on the waiting for the run of to dry up i make some new nutrients ph them at 5.5 then wet the plant through again then leave for 1 hour. After the 1 hour is up this is when i return them to the flowering unit and repeat the process in a weeks time. Some will dissagree with this flushing but i pull 4/5 ounce of each plant dry no problem.Has long has you can get into the habbit of flushing the plants during both cycles and don't be a lazy gardener the plants will thank you.I have just flowered a trainwreck plant one of my all time favourites she gave me 6 and 3 quarters of a 1 and harf foot plant this is the dry weight. But it is most important to make sure that the lights are always no more than 6 ince of the top's during both veg/flowering phase.Have the fan so it is blowing up at the light blowing hot air away from the plants, put a couple of vents at the top of the flowering room because heat rises this will give it somewhere to escape too.grow medium mix is 70% compost 20 % perlite put a few small pebbles in the bottom this will help with drainage.Another great bit of advice is by growing how i have put you will only have to water once a week twice at max but most of the time it is just the once giveing the plant a far better root mass far better root mass means far better buds. Most newbie growers make 2 mistakes one is the lighting is always too high get them lights low to the plants the second is overwatering cannabis only needs watering a max of 2 time a week at most by watering less the roots will form alot faster giveing you bigger buds.Overwatering will only leed to the plant haveing preaturely root bound plants when there is no need for it.

No by flushing the plants once a week the salt and any other build ups that the plant is trying to reject but can't because it is in a tub can be flushed out.The rest of the week the plant is left to dry out and you will be supprised how good a root system that can be gained by doing this.:leaf:TYKE

Great read. You should do a "making of a good cannabis plant" with pics. You know, a little bit of a guide so people can compare thier progress.
