making cannabutter from resin powder. How do you do it?

im going to do this technique myself.. have you tried it yet? i would assume you make it like regular weed,, same method..as far as how much to use? im not sure,, but my butter can never be too strong right? lol

No, Im pretty sure you dont need to do it like regular cannabutter since there is no need for seperating resin from plant material. I think you would warm the butter to a very low simmer then dump in the resin powder and let it absorb into the butter. But honestly Im not sure.

The heating process also converts cannabinoids, you just arn't extracting THC from plant matter.

From what I've read and tried it seems somewhere around half the amount of bud material is required compared to trim, again halving the amount needed compared to bud material when using kief or hash.

A general rule idea when making cannabutter, go big.

Trying to procure full melt sift from the bubble box. Its been a bitch. I plan on doing this in the fall when I have oz's of sift to mess with. Im thinkin put butter in crock pot dump powder in, stir and kick back for a few hours. But what setting for the crock pot?
And yes Im aware of decarboxylation. All I was saying was that you would forego a step in the cannabutter recipe since you would be working with a pure extract. No sence in boiling your sift in water and butter when you just add it to the melted butter and heat.
