Making shatter with mids??

Hello everyone. I was wondering if it were possible to make some really nice looking shatter (see through and light amber) from some mids? Not schwag but some bud that's a little seedy but def gets you high. Would run about 4oz if I do.

cant tell on any of those things, but what you put in is what you will get out, the way you describe the bud is how the hash will be... it will get you high

your probably going to end up with a dark brown goo, but do it and let us know

how long has it been off the plant?

are you from texas too? whats ur definition of mids?

take a pic and post up what the bud looks like

i have done it quite a few times, and find that it is completely dependent on the smell of the starting product. If it has that hay smell, it will always come through in the end product. If you can stick your nose in the bag and like the smell, then can be worth it.

The hay smell has nothing to do with trichs and won't carry over to the end product...just sayin

how does the hay smell transfer into the flavor then qwizo? It has definitely been there in multiple runs i have done of very different looking mids, is it some new terpene that is created as it ages and is transferred into the bho?

Lol no..the hay smell is simply chlorophyll and starches breaking down...take the trichs off the bud and you have uncured hash that still doesn't smell superb depending on maturity at harvest I often hear it called perfumey..you can still cure hash off fresh bud..

As to fowl taste in your hash, idk man would need more info

Probly just that its from mids..since it occurs from very different looking bud I would assume its just the quality of herb, most bud in my area is cured and doesn't smell like hay..doesn't mean most of the bud smells good though..mids around here are outdoor crops and not the best.....

I am indeed a texas native. And mids to me is somewhere between what im getting here in Denver and mexi brick schwag. Im going back to tx today 4 holiday and am getting the bud as a gift. Ill post pics as soon as I get it.

Randall's has 99% for I think $1.18
Cheaper than the 70% lol
In most major tx cities.....pretty sure

91% iso really isn't that good for winterizing...

So I blast the buds then a warm water bath for a while then add the alcohol let sit 4 30 mins then into freezer overnight. Winterizing?

Add hot 99% iso or everclear if you can get it. Hot will help the hash dissolve and allow you to use less thereby precipitating more fats and crap when it freezes....I would give more like 24hrs for the solution to stabilize ..then filter quick as possible and try not to let it heat up while doing so

IMG_0749.jpgAlmost forgot guys, heres the bud, im about to go smoke a test bowl (Flavor, high ect) Smells a tad like hay but def some other interesting aromas going on. Based off of looks alone what do u guys think?
