A the bottom of this post is a link in my signature for how to make “ qwiso”. Quick wash isopropyl hash is my go to for SAFE, fast, easy delicious hash with very little extra equipment. I’ve done this process for years in my kitchen and gradually refined it based off things I learned along the way and from others. If you follow the process you will get a clean cannabis extract that tastes like whatever the material was you started with.
This guy knows his stuff! I love his process!

I take all of the sugar leaves I collect from trimming and place them in a paper bag to dry. Once dried I place in a gallon freezer bag for at least 48 hours in the freezer. Then I place the leaves in a pollen shaker to collect the keif onto parchment paper. Then, using a wine bottle filled with hot hot water, I roll out the keif to form a beautiful ball of hash.20220416_161158.jpg20220416_165223.jpg

can i do the freezing in intervals? or does it have to be continuous 48hours? also for the hot water can it be a jar or strictly has to be a wine bottle?

You will want to freeze the trim for at least a couple of hours. I just did 48 hours, but that certainly isn't needed. Any kind of jar or bottle will work with the hot water. Wear gloves though cause it will be hot on your hands

I think I was confusing the process at first, that powdery substance isn't from crushing the leaves it's what falls off of them right?

When you freeze the leaves the tricombs become brittle and come off much easier. I use a pollen shaker to collect the keif. It was like 10 dollars on Amazon and works great. The powdery substance is all the tricombs that fell off the leaves, better known as keif. Once folded in parchment paper, and rolled and pressed by the hot water jar or bottle, the tricombs melt together to form hash.

Okay got it thanks, I am excited to try doing this and I'll post my results. Edit( can I use a sugar shaker I can't seem to find a pollen shaker on Amazon or at least one that will arrive within a week)

Grocery store coffee basket, crush the leaves or use a food processor. Shake the basket over parchment to get kief.

Ew? I glanced at your thread, 200 micron?! That won’t stop seeds, seriously the coffee baskets are 100-125 and do a decent job but 90 micron is perfect.
Also, advising him to crush his leaves and then shake is exactly the opposite of what to do.

What you posted will not melt, bc its all crushed up green plant matter and fragmented capitate stalks. Put a microscope on it and look...its not that hard....

Like i said, i read your thread. You don’t get along well in the sandbox do ya? Supposedly you are trapping sessile trichs in the screen by using your hand but not a card? I can appreciate your pix, looks tasty but 200 micron was huge as i think you learned. Don’t knock the coffee filter, its cheap, readily available and produces 125 micron kief. If you card the basket you get leaf like a grater, no bueno.
