Male and Female Question? ASAP

This is my second time growing and I'm about a week into my plants so not very far, but I was told yesterday to kill the male plants I have. I' growing 2 OG kush and 2 Green Crack. I thought you need a male and female so that the female can produce bud and flower. I was told from a friend to kill the males. Is this true and can I get a explanation please

dont kill them remove them. Collect the pollen away from your bud garden. Otherwise itll pollenate and you will have a 12 g bud with 10 gs of seeds lol. But dont be rough with em in ur garden and chance anykind of pollen stirring up after all that work..

unless you want seeds you need to kill the males off. males dont produce bud only pollen.

Males should be taken out of your grow area as soon as you see them, some people save them for breeding, I kill them. You take them out because the unpollinated females are stronger and don't have seeds. You'll start to notice the flowers after a month or two of or a week or two after you switch over to 12/12. It's best to get rid of the males as soon as you see them to save your other plants and space
