Male? And pollen help

I think this plant is a male but people have been saying to wait for a cluster of balls but this is just one ball that has grown out a little. Like gotten longer. Is this a male? Even if the pollen sacs open can they fertilize a female plant thats still in veg?

Also I want some more seeds but how can I get seeds without getting any seeds in the main cola? Like only get seeds in the smaller buds on the bottom? Keep in mind that this is an outdoor grow so things are harder to control. Thanks.

I am kinda thinking your right but you have plenty of time. Nothing to worry about yet.
give it a week and see how things look. I'm assuming it's in 12/12 if not then it's not an issue.
wait a week and see if it develops a set of balls. The red arrow indicates where to look.

I am growing a strain of white lightning, and the females early on resemble males, have had to wait to see if hairs or balls appeared to make a decision, a couple I thought were males ended up being females so hang tight.

Hmm alright ill wait a little bit more. Are you sure thats not a male? Right where the arrow is like half an inch up thats a ball that grew out of the node/stem. Also what can I do about the pollen issue? Like pollinating only the small buds?

what I have done in the past is to let the plant stay in flower separated from the rest of the females. when the pollen sacks start to pop, I put zipper close bags over a few of the clusters of pollen sacks and let them pop in that bag. you can take those bags and place them on some of the lower branches of the female and fertilize those branches for seeds.

Hmm Ill try that I guess but wouldnt it be harder since its an outdoor grow? And do you close the ziplock bags so none of the pollen gets out or do you just leave it dangling off the plant?

if your boy is outside within a anywhere within the vicinity of your girls then u have no chance of controlling the pollination.
FDD has a photo tutorial on here about how to collect pollen and apply it to just the selected buds with a paintbrush.

If I have no chance in controlling the pollen outdoors I guess Ill just wait until winter when im growing indoors.

If hes in a pot and you can move him out of the way, and in a place wher you can chedck him all the time and just cut a sack-filled branch off him when hes ready to spurt and trash the rest, well you might be fine.
If not then, well pollen can travel 100's of miles in the wind

peace.

When u get a plant that your not sure about(could be male) bend it down almost parallel to the ground, and tie it down there. This will reduce pollination if it does occur without killing the plant.
