What does "male bred seed" mean? I've never seen it worded like that when buying seeds. Norstar genetics if that helps any

I'm not sure but would assume that means that the seeds are regs instead of fems. When making fems both plants are female. When making regs, one is female and one is male.
That's what I thought too but it doesn't say reg or regular or even non feminized anywhere in the description on the site.

Some of the farmers in Afghanistan/Pakistan use the strongest males as the starting point for all their selection work. I learned about this in the Durand Line Project 2020 book. Perhaps this is what they meant?

"The Cannabis crops in the Kandahar region are maintained through a combination of systematic cultivation practices like fertilization and artificial selection. The selection seems to be focused around the Male parent wherein fewer males with robust and vigorous structures are let to pollinate the female crop for seeds every year. "

You can reverse males, it’s been known for a long time and is nothing new. They throw pistils/buds and as far as I’m aware produce all male seeds.
I think xy male reversals should have roughly:
25% xx females
50% xy males
25% yy supermales? (or maybe non-viable seeds, I dunno)

If the yy males are viable they could probably be bred to any xx female plant to produce all xy male seeds.
