Male just found in outdoor greenhouse

i found a male today in an outdoor greenhouse that i attend. the house has 30 medmar plants. the male had about 5-6 flowers that had sprouted and the rest were on the verge, but not opened. the greenhouse was likely sporting stagnant air for the last 2 days b/c the solar fans were off as it was overcast/raining.

so, i suspect that the 5-6 flowers may have only seeded a portion of the 30 plants, particularly since the vast majority of flowers were clearly unopened. (btw I yanked male carefully and escorted him to the grave)

i'm a newbie and don't really know what to expect in terms of seeded buds from the rest of the crop.

any thoughts here?

thanks

not to naysay or anything but i read somewhere long back that the male pollen sacks have a few tiny holes on the bottom of the buds that release pollen before the sacks even open, you could be fine though, a sure sign of polination is that within just a few days the pollinated calyxes will all have shriveled red hairs so check the plants nearest to ground zero and see if you suddenly have an influx in the amount of pistols turning red.

get the male outta there, it will ruin your crop, if it hasn't already, if it has your gonna end up with some hermies which is another problem, if you don't want seeds then then get rid off all but the femmes.

he said he's got a male, males are no good unless you want seeds, if the male spreads its jizz on the females then they wont be females no more right. or am i wrong, the reason i say hermie is cause an old man i know uses some male pollen to turn some of his femmes to get some seeds therefore a female plant ends up producing some seed sacks as well as bud, which is the traits of a hermie which is both male and female, though feel free to correct me if im wrong, either way male, hermies, there no good to leave with your femmes unless you want seeds, they say a male can spoil up to 90% of you crop so i don't even give them a chance to live, good luck with your grow.

hello my friend and welcome to rollitup. you'll have to excuse shamegame, he's stoooooooooooned. :blsmoke::hump: but we still love him.
a hermy is a female plant that produces it's own male flowers. it's like having a penis and a verginer. a seeded female is a female that has been pollinated. it's like a pregnant lady. big difference. i will save the pics for those who really need them. hope this helps. :peace::joint::joint:

thanks for all your replies!

the male was caught very early, maybe 5 flowers had bloomed before being cut and composted. the females are juvenile though quite large (5 ft). i will inspect the hairs as you suggested.
