Male or Female? Discoloration on new leaves

I know there are like a million of these posts but I haven't seen any posts that look quite like my plant.

Grown from random seeds outdoors, for about 2 months now. Its in a kind of shady spot so it hasn't gotten very tall (about 14-16 inches I'd say).

Over the past 5 days I've noticed what looks like the start of a bud at the centre of the top. Would love to get some expert opinion on whether its male/female.

Also every new set of leaves that comes out starts with a black/purplish discoloration which fades as they grow out.

Too hard to tell in pics. Try gettinbg a closer shot.

Thats male. But hard to tell. Males always tend to bud at the top first, and that plant seems to be budding at the tip top. Looks cools though because of the purp in it.
