It's hard to see because your detailed photo's are blurred or in shade. The photo's with good light levels do not show enough detail.

That usually means it's a boy, from what you described...

It doesn't have to flower to show sex.
4/6 of mine showed sex before they flowered.
But yeah you should wait.
In the mean time, cut off those huge baby leaves.
All the leaves that are hanging at a 90 degree angle can be cut;
It will make it branch out more and give it more buds.
