Its a male, notice how it has balls and not hairs.
There's no way for a male to become a herm. im pretty sure its only females that can go to male because they are looking to be pollinated.

i dont know how anybody can really tell yet... the little sack looking oval could just be the pistillate primordia of a female plant. You can see what im talking about in the pictures i googled...

in picture 4, the one of the left looks like a new shoot, and the one on the right looks like a female pre flower without pistols. turn the plant around and look on the other side....or look for the opposite branch, it will usually display the same signs....I'd put my money on seeing a pistol here soon.......I'm also an optimist.

i agree with you here, i still think its a lil too early to tell you, but i just went through this very same thing on my plants.. i've never really looked at the preflowers so early under a loupe, and they didn't look like a female preflower as it was still kinda closed up and there was still no pistils showing, but yet, the shape was a lil less rounded then the typical male preflowers, and about two or three days later, the pistils showed themselves to me.. i say just give it another day or two...

in that 4th picture, the left and right are both preflower growing inbetween the large leave branches and the shoots. im praying for females man or thats just time, money, and dedication wasted...

I always veg mine and let them show themselves...no need to force it...unless time constraints.

I can say on day 40 from seed I'm constantly checking nodes for pistols. To me....every time I see the first sign I always think it looks like a male ball.....half those generally turn out to be female pre flowers (just so young you cant really tell).

Males are not the worst! I got skunk #1, Cheisel, and Hawaiian sweet island skunk females...I also have 5 skunk #1 seeds......and you can bet your ass I'll be growing them out to look for a nice male.
