I know all the basics, I've grown before, quite a few times actually, only harvested once though, large harvest off one plant in the AG. Cuttings I've never done, but they are the way to go. You need a HumiDome I heard though, and I just plain don't feel like investing maybe my mind will change, however I'll be more than happy to get some rooting gel.
I wouldn't say it's completely necessary to have a dome, it does help the process though. Read up in the FAQ about cloning and you will see the many benefits. And it's actually really easy to do. It's so frustrating putting in all the work only to end up with most plants being male or hermie, this can be avoided. I think you got a male there bro. See how it's like a round ball and sticking out. My gut says male but give it a little more time. If it starts getting crazy pull it!I thought so too, I don't want to sound like a newb, but I seperate my grows so much i get rusty, but dont male preflowers show first, like around now being it's almost 23 days under a 400w MH?
Its a standard magnifying glass, nothing special. I know I need to invest in a x25 scope of some sort. The glass doesn't help too much, the pic you see are purely the camera zoom.
Your Help is much appreciated, the only thing I'm trying to do is catch a male (or hermi) as early as possible at the same time making sure I don't cut down a female. I know how both organs looks fully matured, like white hairs and all. But thanks, because I can use that pic to compare how the calyx looks compared to mine.
Ok, lol your right, in my first grow the hairs did seem to just one day appear. I'm not in 12/12 yet, because I have a seedling 20 days younger, and another plant about 15 days old. It's on about the 9th node which is where I see a pointy looking thing. I JUST CUT OFF a male looking thing because it's the only one that looks male, and even on my past female I had a ball here and there, but not really a hermi. It's weird though because on the same node, one side has something that looks completely different then the other side. I'm just gona wait it out, are females even supposed to show sex this early (23 days old), my plant doesn't even look pure indica, so wouldn't it take a long time to show pistils if it was female. I'm asking all these question just to get a little more detailed education and to be absolutely certain as what to look for and what not. Thanks for ALL the help so far!
