Male or Female

hi guys n gals , just a quick question for you all..

heres pictures of my plant ,, normally i use clones but this time my friend gave me seeds from unknown sourse and i cant tell if its female or male..

personaly i think its male as these pod things have been on display for over 1 week and still no white hairs...

any ideas ?????

yeah maybe i should ,,, the plant its self is aprox 1 month old and for over 1 week the pods have been there so maybe its for the best if i flower it n see what happens... the pods on top were closed but just before i took the pics i had a little feel and opened them slightly with my fingers to see if there was any white hairs starting to grow but now it just looks like a male pod but thats my mistake for trying to have a look inside... my bad lol...

The same thing happened to me and it turned out to be a girl. I even made a thread asking about it. Worst case scenario, turn it into hash?

yeah i suppose i could man ,, will be interesting to see what it turns out to be lol... my friend had surplus plants as his grow room is 80x80x160 so i thought id take it just to see but the more days go by i just cant help thinkin its male... iv always dealt with clones and feminised seeds so this is kinda new to me in a sense... time will tell tho coz perhaps today/night i will flip it to 12/12 n see what a few days brings me lol...

Oh shit no, don't be chopping anything down on my say-so! :shock:

All I can tell you is that my girls definitely didn't have those, but that is the entire limit of my experience on the matter. I say grow it out, we learn something from every experience and I know it's a pisser but it could still turn into a positive somehow? Like if you do make hash then at least you'll get to smoke your own product and it's still a whole process to figure out that you'll be a better grower in future for knowing :peace:

Looks like a male to me but the only to really know is to flower....I just had 2 Jamaican purple skunks look like that and they were males.....2 Jamaican purple skunks and 3 Mexican sativa brick weed bag seeds....the 3 bag seeds were females and both purples were males...what crappy luck

Wouldn't hurt to double check but I'm 90% sure its male. Is it in 12 or 18 light cycle? Don't turn it into hash if its a male, trash it.. you don't need to waste your time getting your other plants pollenated. Edit: did a double look. that's a male.

YOU MUST WAIT!!!

Females start like that then this ball will open and two white hairs will come out.

If its a male it will look like that after a while

Ok, so again, no expert, but I've just read somewhere that the balls on males are on a tiny stem type thing which yours does not have, so fingers crossed for you mate :peace:

It has been one week and it didnt mature yet, you can see that she/he is busy still building his /her thing.

If you are in veg still you can wait as much as you want..

Even if am wrong (which can be)..

There is no harm still!!

Just wait one more week then you know for sure

hi guys thanx for all the input over the last few days , i decided to put it into flower to see and it turned out to be Male so i chopped it and im gona start from scratch with my own beans which as it happens arrived today,, only ordered them yesterday lol.... feminised white widow and feminised super skunk..

will be writing a journal from start to finish so feel free to pop in and look guys... peace
