if you look ferther back he did post pics, i think what short is saying is that the pic we've been looking at is infact a rarity and is the type of hermie you want because it's a male plant and is showing female sex not the other way around get it?
Exactly!!! Thx for reading the whole thing. + rep

I threw out a sweettooth male last year that had purple stamen as well as 1-2 frosty calyx's. I sprouted 4-5 Lemon Larry OG seeds last year as well, and 3 of them showed this trait. the two females did not hermi. I've theorized that the male cannabis plants do not like the same growing conditions as female, and may throw out these female flowers to preserve itself. Many fertilizers do contain hormones for larger, more multiple blooms. to myself, it makes sense this may cause confusion to the plants.

It may prove to be a rarely reported phenomenon, as opposed to being a rare trait. I do only have 4 years now of experience growing, but since I've started, my goals have been to breed more than produce "weight"

from what i've read recently, and this is only reading, new to breeding
hermie males that are sterile are not too rare, it is the fertile hermie males that are the rarity
i read up a bit more on dj short's breeding forums
he claims the fertile male pollen will reduce the hermie trait in females
