I hear ya about killing it man I hate that too. I just ended the life of a few of them the other day when there wasn't room in my tray for them. Do you know what strain or genetics your growing?

I have only grown one pure indica which was a landrace afghan kush a few years back. Most of the genetics I have ran have been hybrids which is great you can get the great sativa high and have it grow in a controllable way. I have also grown some pure sativas with great success. The aren't any harder to grow you just have to treat them different. The sativas I grew I topped multiple times, and pruned several times to keep them under control while they were vegging. Then when I flowered them they turned into really wonderful bushes. In my journal in my sig line I think around page 75 there should be pictures.

If you are able to watch it closely you don't have to kill it pointlessly. You can wait for the pollen sacks to start to expand and before they burst open pull the plant, and than you can collect the pollen and apply it with a paintbrush to select budding spots. The end result will be seeds only where you want them and you can store the pollen for a few days in the fridge.

Wow that's the first I'd heard of that but would seeds from the male be useless cause it will mostly be males

The male only produces pollen which then needs to fall on a female inorder to make seeds. The seeds only form on the female plant, in roughly the same spot the pollen gets on the plant. So if you were to collect pollen from the male plant a LONG ways away from the female, you could then dust it onto a single bud or single branch of the female and make seeds form. honestly unless these are particularly good plants, or genetics I wouldn't waste your time. Breeding is something that takes alot of time skill and a dash of luck I believe. I'm not saying you couldn't do it just for shits and giggles to see what happens. my first grow ever I let a male finish with my females intentionally so that I could observe the complete natural life cycle of the cannabis plant. I ended up with a ton of seeds in a very small amount of bud lol. I just recently collected my first pollen since from a male that I really like the way it grew. It however is from unknown genetics so I really don't know if I'm gonna pollinate any of my females with it( I prolly will still dust just one I have about 40 right now) I would be much more excited for this experiment if the male had been from one of the other strains I have going right now. That however is the downside to ordering feminized seeds is your not gonna get any males(I wasn't really trying for males). I hope to eventually have enough space to do a bit of real breeding, it will take a few more years though.
