i've seen some of you complaining about direct cash subsidy? families are entitled to Child Tax Credit which they receive at the end of the year with their tax filing- IF THEY KNOW ABOUT IT..you see most don't and most don't have a CPA in that state.

We're helping them to understand.

I've honestly never liked child tax credits...why should the government subsidize families that procreate?....families shouldn't have more children than they can support, poor choices shouldn't lead to entitlements. i think a better system would be to lower the tax rate of families with children, up to a certain point, and after that, families pay for their own decisions.
very low income families should receive more assistance, but not in the form of tax credits.
affordable (or free) child care would help a lot of people get out and make their own money, free or very low cost medical care for children, assistance buying food and clothing for the children, home energy assistance...all of these would be useful, without making some people feel like bums, and other people resent them, because they feel like they're helping to pay for other people's choices against their will

Why should all the actual inflation in our society go only to the wealthiest that can afford to invest in treasuries at about 10k a pop? I think there should be some actual benefit into being born into the greatest economy the world has ever known, and don't think that making sure our kids are not born into poverty is a really great place to start, regardless of who their parents are. Also I think it is worth thinking about all those millions that Trump's dad got in government subsidies that built their fortune that ended up going to his shithead kid, and how that is not a singularity.

Also might be worth understanding that over the lifetime that kid who is getting $300 a month will easily pay any benefits they received back in taxes many many times over, and the less impoverished they start out, the better chances they have to contribute even greater amounts back into our society.

Everything you've listed is in Bidens BBB agenda. Birth control used to be FEDERALLY illegal in the US until sometime in the 60s and abortion rights are being taken away..i would imagine birth control will soon be taken away too. Home energy assist in the past LIHEAP? you must have had everything turned off before you get assist. They make it so people feel like 'bums' thats the whole point- dehumanize..they even have a cardboard cut out on the wall of need..your nails need to be dirty, green stuff on your teeth and dressed in rags.

i am in favor of improving the educational system, all the way up to free community college for anyone who wants it. i'm in favor of helping those that actually need help. if the only way to make sure people aren't born into poverty is to subsidize families, we've already miserably failed ...and perhaps we should just give up on this shit system and start over...
 
I'm very pro-choice, but have never liked the parasite argument. It's manipulative language and implies a negative connotation where there is none. As if to convey disgust and imply that anything that is parasitic is bad and should be killed. No animals would exists if that were the case. There's no such thing as reproductivity that is not parasitic.

It fits the definition. Dude, I have two kids and I loved them both from the beginning. Both of us called them "the parasite" when she was pregnant. Its a term of endearment to me.
