Anyone think plant life grows faster if there is a hum or continous sound nearby. Say for example a creek or river bed or a pump, air conditioner? Just curious.

well there was a experiment on mystbuster way back in time and they figured constand speed metal music would work. but first: this kind of music draws cops in like rats (what a strange & true metaphor I used there:lol:) and second: mystbuster is not a show that should be seen as scientifically founded in any way, they just screw up one most of their experiments from the start on right away till the end:D pure entertainment and nothing more than that;)

so probably, a fan makes noise and you need a fan in a indoor grow anyways, guess the end to this;)

peace

You know Hank the question isn't dumb at all. Mines in my bedroom closet and everyday when hop in the shower and crank up the music, I wonder the same thing. I would say that there are probably frequencies and tones that could affect the plant however good or bad who knows. If I find out something i'll let you know if you do let know. But those are some funny ass comments you have to admit! lol

The co2 you breath out everytime averages 5000ppm of co2!!! I tested it with my co2 meter, so guys you should talk to your plants more often. But be careful not to overfert your plants with your bad breath, might cause a leaf burn :spew:

I read an article in HT about music in grow rooms. I cant remember which it was but it was very interesting. The lady running the experiment found that music in increments will make the plants grow towards the source of sound. The best music was also classical, drum n bass, and the dijeridoo(spelling). These produced the most growth and the plants were the healthiest. Speed metal and classic rock didnt produce healthy plants. They were stringy and grew away from the source of sound. If I can find out which month and year it was in I will post it in this thread.
