like others have stated, we're not there, but this is an exciting step in the right direction. great reason to toke up and celebrate. Yes We Cannabis!

hahaha "Yes We Can-nabis"

"...Yes we can to Justice and Equality
Yes we can to Opportunity and Prosperity
Yes we can Heal This Nation.
Yes we can Repair this World.
We know the Battle ahead will be Long,
but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way,
Nothing can stand in the way of the Power of Millions of Voices Calling for Change.
We want Change!
We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics who will only grow louder and more dissonant.
We’ve been asked to pause for a reality check.
We’ve been warned against offering the people of this nation false Hope.
But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about Hope. We want Change!
The hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA;
we will remember that there is something happening in America;
that we are not as divided as our politics suggests;
that we are One People;
we are One Nation;
and together, we will begin the next Great Chapter in America’s story with three words that will ring from coast to coast;
from sea to shining sea - Yes. We. Can."

yer... i think the next step would be in re-classifying Marijew-wanna as a Schedule II controlled substance - a substance with medicinal value.

though i think the feds might prefer to wait until a majority of states have legalized medical marijuana before doing this ... they don't want to be seen as championing the cause. but once we have reached the tipping point of a majority, i wouldn't be surprised if it were rescheduled, if not before then.

i suppose that is the 'actual mandate' that many persons are still looking for. and i certainly don't blame them.

not only that those of us who make a living on medical marijuana are not in a rush to have it legalized. when that happens good bye mom and pop growers. hello big business with regulated thc levels.
ya, i hear ya man... and some of that could be alleviated by only allowing caregivers to grow for a certain number of patients.

irreguardless... as someone that has suffered from migraines since early childhood - i would personally be willing to take the hit, 'cuz i know how much good marijunana could do in the medical community.

Well guys, we here in Nevada certainly do see a positive to this. We are all anxiously awaiting the time when we can indeed go into a dispensary and get our meds. At the moment we are a "grow you're own, but not too much"state. As the economies of nearly all states are in decline we do have an opportunity here to display the power of the all mighty dollar and show just how much money is potentially leaving the state and even the country when you and I are paying $400 an ounce for some chronic meds. Not to mention the tax revenue generated when clinics open shop.

the opposite is happening in canada , bill c 15 is in place giving mandatory federal minimum sentencing guidelines for pot growing. From 5 to 200 plants its a mandatory 6 months in jail, 200 to 500 is 1 year in jail and 500 plus is 2 years in jail plus another year for being in organized crime for growing so many plants. If you near a school zone you get another 6 months, and weapons addd another year in jail. And if you a person of authority like a teacher add another 20 percent to your jail time. The maximum is life imprisonment for any of these crimes now. As we c obama liberate the people of the US, us canadians now face persecution for a plant and welcoming cartels and murderes into our country. Prices will double in the near future and the gang wars here keep escalating. Im afraid that canada isno longer a safe place to grow some plants as noone wants or should do 6 months in jail mandatory for growing personal smoke. Im glad for you americans as your president cs that the cartel make money from weed and now is attackign them instead of attacking the people of the united states. If the us changes its medical plans to socialized, ill be moving to the us in no time. Im glad for you guys, there are too many people suffering from this war on marijuana, all i can say is vote obama in for a next term and his succesor because fi you dont vote youll end up with some dictator like past presidents and like we have in canada now. Congrats guys.
