I'm interested in hearing if there is anyone using marijuana to help with diabetes.
I appreciate any input, thanks in advance.

i have diabetes, but thats not why i smoke lol... but know sometimes when i dont feel like eating ill smoke a little just to get in the mood. back a few years ago i had that feet on fire with needles ( thats what it felt like when i walked ) i would smoke alot then just to try and dull the pain or more like concentrate on something else. i still have the pain i just learned how to tollerate it more.

i have read some stuff that suggests how pot can help lower your blood sugar. Also i remember hearing something about how greening out usually happens when blood sugar is too low. just some info i remember from my numerous hours of research. i dont know how legit it is.

Something I am just starting to really investigate as my kid is Type 1 and has been since 18 months. What a nasty disease. My father in law died from being septic, and diabetic.

im telling you what, its killing me . i already had a heat attack at the age of 39 and my legs are just about worthless . same for my vision heck they had me in the hospital for 2 weeks and still couldnt get it managed , they just said ill have to do the best i can with it... i hope some day theyll have a cure.

My heart goes out to you. My kid doesn't know any different....Banting is probably rolling over in his grave that there is no cure yet. I don't know how much I trust the medical industry anymore.....why have we only moved forward with management? Maybe I'm being unrealistic but jees....very sensitive issue with me.

My thoughts and well wishes are with you wcharles, thanks for posting.
You hit the nail on the head whatfg...it's a nasty fucking disease.

3 years type 2...nerve pain in the feet and some vision lost, but nothing compared to some who suffer from this miserable disease.
I'm trying to learn more...haven't found much information though.

Mmj has helped me reduce the amount if pills I take for diabetes. Diabetes is one of the nastiest things going, since it's your body basically rusting, and all of us who have it know first hand what it affects
I am building wheelchair ramps as part of my addition since it is basically eventual.
I know first hand what neuropathy can do to your legs and other extremities
I don't find mmj to help directly with neuropathy symptoms but it does help my state of mind when suffering from diabetes related symptoms.

I will try to find it, but I did read somewhere that they think the cannabinoid receptors in the gut play a role.

Interesting thread here. My father was diagnosed a few years back in his mid 50's. Was pretty sketchy at first but eventually was able to manage it with a combination of diet and pills. Might just have to suggest he adds a little cannabis to his diet and see if it helps him any.

My feel feel like I walk on needles or glass but not from diabetes. I can definitely understand though.
