I started off with weed, then i did salvia, shrooms and DMT. Not sure if they are considered "hard drugs" but i love psychedelics because they alter my senses and shows me point of views which i earlier wouldnt even IMAGINE to comprehend.

Thing is though that places where weed is illegal, which is almost everywhere, people(mostly youngsters) instead go and get high by sniffing butane gas or acetone, shit that dissolves your brain. How fucked up isnt that? People will always find new ways to get high no matter what, so why not just legalise the stuff and save lots of peoples lives:bigjoint:

i voted yes, but not pot itself.... the prohibition of cannabis leads one to harder drugs and more crime... when you go to the coke man to get your weed, eventually you will get some coke... or maybe start running guns, boosting cars, etc.... only when weed is put on the legitimate market like alcohol, will it cease to be a gateway drug....

My thoughts exactly. I voted yes as well because the fact that it is illegal brought me into a different culture. I don't know about everyone else's experiences, but if I didn't have to go to the "dope man" to get my weed, it probably wouldn't have been a gateway. Go figure, I soon found out that the "dope man" didn't just sell weed, and since I was a good customer I got good discounts. Why not try it?:bigjoint:

There have also been many times where if I had a sack of dank at the time I would have been less likely to fuck with other drugs. Marijuana is my savior.:bigjoint:

Milk is a gateway to bourbon, which is a gateway to weed, which is a gateway to robbing my refrigerator and then trespassing upon my bed and kidnapping some Zs.

The first thing I ever tried was bud. The only thing after that was mushrooms, once, which was pretty damn awesome. I guess the thing about it for me was that all the stuff I heard about drugs and weed before I ever tried it sort of scared me in a way, so after I finally did try it, I realized all that stuff was bullshit, that got me to thinking "well, what else could be bullshit?", which led me to a better understanding and helped me learn how to think for myself.

I wouldn't call it a gateway to harder drugs, I'd call it a gateway to enlightenment.

I think that if pot was readily available I would have never tried any other drug.....i like pot, i have no problem with energy so coke and others really work against me and i know it. It really all depends on the person. Look at this too,,,,,,

Here's some crazy OBAMATH...Obama Math, with help from mr Biden on C-SPAN

150,000 new jobs are to be created with 787 billion in stimulus.

Ok, so thats.....in numbers only

150,000 and 787,000,000,000

ok, most calculators won't do that so.....simplify, take away 4 zeros from each...

15 and 78,700,000

5,246,666.67........actually 5,246,666.6666666666666666666666666666666666666666

so per job its over 5 million dollars each. So I ask, what is really going on?

I agree with you LiEBE420....
The government tried to spread lies about weed along time ago. That stuff is only old wives tales......

Have you seen Reefer Madenss?
Haha that movie is bullshit!!! The government actually made a movie in 1936 warning people to stay away from marijuana.....
Hahah Ive seen the whole movie, so lame

What exactly is that supposed to mean anyway?
She is referring to the OBAMATH post. This is a thread about marijuana leading to harder drugs. Not Obama. Therefore its a thread hijack..... Taking over someone elses thread and going off topic.
And then she found a nice picture from a movie about an airplane hijack.
Great work Stoney

I voted yes b/c I have tried lots of hard drugs that I probably wouldn't have if I didn't smoke weed. I don't do any of these hard drugs on a consistent basis like weed however. I probably would have never smoked weed if I didn't drink alcohol in the first place either.

But I agree with the others that the environment I have to go to for some weed is probably more of the reason why I do harder drugs. I'm not going to turn down a gram of coke for a good price when it is offered to me by my weed man.

I'd say the PROHIBITION of cannabis is more of a gateway to harder drugs than the substance itself.

Kid's try Cannabis and see that it's pretty harmless (contrary to what they've been told) which sends the message that they have been mis-informed on other harder illegal drugs.

Mis-Information is a Bad policy in whatever respect imo and it encourages people to seek out the information for themselves (i.e. try harder drugs)
I agree that prohibition is much of the problem.

It creates a black market which attracts criminals that are there for profit. This criminal enterprise will expose casual smokers to hard drugs. It is a never ending cycle of gov stupidity.
