Marijuana & Mental Health

Having said that, i am also a realist and it is a fact that cannabis, altho not 'addictive' in properties, certainly does give a 'dependence problem'

These are the real issues that some people have to deal with, for some it is simply the effects of tobacco that they use 'habitually' along with the cannabis. These issues often lead to relationship problems and appetite issues above other things, i.e I need a joint before I do this, do that, eat this, go there
dude this exactly my problem. because i have been smoking my weed with tobacco for 5 years now. so i feel like i need a spliff, wheni actually just want tobacco. but im so used to having both so thats what it is. but i have stopped rolling tobacco in my spliffs for nearly half a year now and just smoke straight out of the bubbler. but every time i have a bowl, il have to have a roll up after or before. but i am slowly weening myself of tobacco.

also if i go a day without any weed, i do get agitated, very bored, angry at the littlest things and just feel crappy. i have no apitite and i find it hard to sleep with loadsa sweating in the night. but again, this is just all in our heads. its a mental thing everyone can get over. which i am slowly ttrying to do. even though i havent been without weed for nearly a year, matbe more.i dont no lol. i just find it so hard to take breaks!

I hear you, see it all the time and is the very things that people don't talk about which then avoids people getting help and also gives cannabis a bad rep.

If you love and respect the herb, the hard truth is you need to boycott, rebel, fight, avoid and above all give up tobacco :-)

So I've been watching this documentary on the TV and they've been talking about the links to cannabis to mental health. I was wondering what your views are on this topic?

I mean I know there's no real evidence to show that cannabis has an effect on your mental health but I know a lot of people that say they can't smoke it again cos it sends them completely paranoid. Anyone else ever felt like this?
I've been a Behavioral Health Specialist for one of the Largest MCO Insurance companies in the US and I had a pharmacy buddy that was prescribing a child some type of cannabanoid pill for Mental Health reasons, and I know I was working in Mass. General Hospital one day when there medical weed went missing from the loading docks about 50 pounds..lol. So I guess it depends on the person's body chemistry because they are already using it to treat different Mental Health issues right now.

I totally agree with you....I think because I smoke in Backwood Sweet Aromatics that I'm yearning more for the nicotine than the pot...I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, but I have been smoking cigars or blunts for about 19 years now. I do have to wake and bake daily and before I go to sleep at night. In the morning it helps me get focused and at night it helps my mind rest so I can sleep...lol.

I plan my vacations based on the fact of it I can get weed..lol or bring it. I brought my family to Sea World and Busch Gardens we flew and got a rental and I drove about 30 mins out of my way to meet a cousin of a friend of a friends..lol. That's why I love Amsterdam don't have to worry about weed or pussy..lol. it's already there in abundance.

lol see my point. I do know what you mean, been there and done it. Hence decriminalising it is everything and we can grow and carry wherever whenever we like. Here we can grow at home but its still illegal and carries concerns.

this is true... its makes you paranoid because your doing something illegal.. another reason it should be legalizzed.

i don't really get paranoid anymore, because i know i'm not gonna get caught...but i remember when i was a high schooler and it seemed so scary..i couldn't enjoy my high until i ditched my lighter, pipe, etc. then id just chill. haha.
