Marijuana Will Never be Legal UNLESS!

UNLESS! We are truthful and mature about this drug, it will never be legal and we are wasting too much money trying to make it legal, atleast from a position of smoking it.Marijuana does have many positive attributes. Let's face it, the picture that comes to mind when someone says marijuana is "SPICOLI from Fast times at Ridgemont High." No wonder people think this way. It's the media and false reporting that has killed the positive attributes for this plant. I really think this plant is a thing of beauty and it's a wonderful experience to see it grow and partake of it in a responsible way. "RESPONSIBLE WAY"! I personally like the plant and think it could be of great value to the world and especially this country that has been ruined by politicians and special interest groups. It makes me sick. Marijuana has many values if it is used properly. If everyone would agree to ingest it instead of smoking it. That is the KEY! But stupid people will not agree to that, "ITS not COOL if you don't smoke it, right? WRONG! People who smoke anything just makes themselves look bad. NOTHING is good for you when you smoke it. I don't use it anymore because I'm looking for a job, and although the laws do not allow. I have to find a job or I will be living on the streets. And to find a job I have to take a piss test. But, for those of you who can use this drug for it's wonderful benefits, try this. Instead of smoking marijuana, just make some cannabutter and put it in some brownies or cookies. The effects are gradual and you feel them much longer and it is unnoticeable. You can't smell it and your eyes are fine. Then start cutting back on it so you don't even need it and only use it like medicine. It is much better for you than pills for depression or pain. Here is the bad part instead of treating people like they are responsible human beings, our government looks at everyone like we are children or lawbreakers because of all the media reports are negative on just about every topic you see. LOOK! We are better off without any help from medication of any sort for depression or pain. And we shouldn't have to rely on any help from any sort of drug. And we need to learn how to deal with pain and suffering without the help of medication. BUT, in some circumstances when you just can't shake it and are unproductive to the point where you are just paralyzed, you have to do something. This is where this wonderful plant can help mankind. It be used for many other things, fuel, clothing, oil, paper, and many other things. Anything can be bad when you rely on it too much. Alcohol, SEX, Drugs, MONEY, FOOD and many more. Let's just step back and take a look at the situation and learn how to improve upon it and be responsible human beings and grow as not only a country but a WORLD! Anyone who smokes anything looks stupid. It makes you stink, it hinders your breathing and damages your lungs, it makes your teeth yellow. I mean, can anyone disagree with this? I put myself into this category. But it is very hard to quit smoking anything when you are used to it. So let's show the world how you CAN quit. By tapering off. I think one of the best ways i know of is to substitute marijuana in small quantities by injesting with food. And then taper that off and only use it when you have to have it. Just thing off the hurt that would put on the drug companies and all the special interest groups and lawyers and doctors and counselors and physiatrists. I mean the people that are getting wealthy for doing more harm than good. I went to a psychiatrist years ago and she put me on anti-depressants and this opened introduced all sorts of problems for me. I had to find out the hard way. If someone would have sit down with me and gave me a pot brownie. Because honestly, I felt bad about smoking pot because I was a Christian and still am. But the key is, not to look down on anyone and love them and try to help your fellow man or woman. You might have it better than him now but one day you might be in his shoes. And that can be a dreadful place my friend. Bryant from North Carolina.

I never made it past the first line. Anyone else get farther than that?

Marijuana will never be legal because people like you keep the stereotype alive.

Maybe the teachers in those English classes I kept sleeping through were on to something with all that talk about paragraphs and stuff.

This site is virtually littered with posts about how beneficial MJ is, and what a crime in itself it is that MJ is being demonized, but I have yet to see a single unifying plan of action to combat or reverse the legal issues. THe only way pot is ever gonna be legal is for people to grow some nuts and stand up, saying "Yes, I smoke pot, and I think it should be legal", Then all pot smokers and supporters have to get some solidarity, and get political with it.

i think that the only immature attitude would be that cannabis is worse than alcohol.. if you are pro pot and pro hemp then you have developed a mature opinion in my estimation.. lets spend all the money in the world until cannabis grows freely for all living creatures!

I think the biggest problem with getting it legalized is that at all the rallies, its just a damn hippie fest with dirty hippies smoking everywhere. I believe a rally where NO ONE is carrying or smoking in public, everyone is dressed like humans, not dirty hippies, No tie-died clothes, nasty dreadlocks or excessive facial hair, then the politicians may take us more seriously. Im sorry if I offend you dirty hippies, but take a bath and wash your hair! These are political and professional people and if you dont look like them, they dont listen!

And make MJ mainstream! Right now, they want to make the public believe it's only "fringe groups" that want it. Of course, I blame the mainstream cowards who won't admit to using because that perpetuates the myth.
The people who use it in private while condemning it's use in public just piss me off!

I dont have a problem with it in public at all, where legal anyways. My problem is during IMPORTANT rallies. I think it sends the wrong message, especially if the debate is medical. How do you think the politicians view a group of "stoners" just getting blazed while they debate the most important subject EVER. What advocates need to bring is solid information with data to back it up and leave their weed at home or at least wait til the rally is over and all the opposers are gone.

It does need to be much more mainstream. The local media still makes it look bad. They wont give out truthful info, just the same old lies.

..cannabis is allready legal, everywhere except in the eyes of the government and a few pockets of retards.

the majority support is for cannabis being legal again.

its just a matter of time.

Im referring to states trying to get legalization in my earlier posts. Where is it legal and the government dont harass people? Very few places dont give caregivers and grow-ops problems anyways. And I bring up hippies because they are they largest groups to show up at the rallies, not the average blue collar hard worker that needs to be there. I have some hippie friends and like to give them shit.

I am very happy the majority is turning our way and hopefully it is just a matter of time.

i don't think that you can ask hippies to all take a shower..
it would be like asking the Nazi army to wear less green... :p

Absolutely agreed! SMOKING pot at a rally, or any other public event would be akin to drinking alcohol during a session of congress. You are absolutely correct that it should be left at home when trying to make a statement.
The debate should NOT be just over the medical need argument. Full legalization should be the issue. We (My generation) always said that we would change the laws when the old cadre died off and we came into the seat of power. Well, the powers that be are from my generation. Don't fool yourself. They do not believe that MJ is more harmful than any other intoxicant. They grew up with it. The classification of MJ as a dangerous drug is now political in nature, and always has been. The government KNOWS that MJ is certainly no more harmful than alcohol, and probably safer, yet they continue to keep it illegal. The issue has absolutely nothing to do with public safety, it has everything to do with money. The prime motivator for anything is the bottom dollar. If there was more money to be made with MJ legal, you can bet your ass it would be.
MANY of those in congress and the senate smoke pot in private, yet they continue to oppose legalization in public. We need to be asking ourselves why that is.

What we need is a legit Johnny Appleseed [Collective]. To go around and -at the very least- plant hemp all around the states growing like a wildfire. There is already 'ditchweed' that grows everywhere and if that could be multiplied, then it would be near impossible to catch up and destroy. Just one of my thoughts..
