I happen to have had some experience with these shrooms, and also have some interesting history for you. Yes you can trip on them, but the white wart like bumps are poisonous ( strychnine I believe ), but this is not really a problem because skin is rather leathery and easy to shave off with a knife. As Grizzdude said, the trip is more a dementia thing and not exactly what you would call fun. Also, some Amanitas carry a stomach virus which can turn a trip really bad really fast. Had a friend who was unfortunate enough to have succumbed to this virus. He had eaten them just before we went to a movie, got up to go to the bathroom, and was found passed out by an employee. Cause of his passing out was later determined to be from the pain of massive stomach cramps. Hospital told him this virus is actually carried by flys, but the mushroom is a good place for this particular virus to start to breed. Which brings me to the history part. The Amanitas in America are quite different from the ones in Russia. Same species, but for unknown reasons completely different experience tripping. From what I've read, the Russian Amanitas are so potent, that it is a common practice for one guy to take them, collect his first urine after starting to trip, sell it to the next guy, who drinks and repeats the process with the next guy, with eventually as many as 20 people getting high from one 2 gram dose. I know, I wouldn't drink a guys piss to get high either, but don't even try to tell me you don't know someone who would.
