Mars Hydro and Viparspectra

Just curious as to how many people use a white full spectrum and a purple full spectrum light setup in their grow tent at the same time?

I originally bought a Mars Hydro TS600 which is only a 100 watt draw from the wall. Good for a single plant or 2'x2' grow space.

I've been going back and forth about buying a secondary light so I decided to pick up the Viprarspectra V600 Reflector Series which is a true draw of 260 watts from the wall. Good for a 3'x3'.

My tent is only 39"x39"x70" (also a Mars Hydro)

I have all necessary intake/outake and canopy fans/ventilation so im not worried about heat and humidity. I can easily control those.

So its around a true 360 watts being drawn from the wall altogether...

With the new Viparspectra V600 I have the ability to switch between Blue and Red lights for either supplemental veg or flower cycles. But i can also run them as purples combined throughout the entire growth cycle.

So with the two different lights white and the purple, has anyone had any good experience with a setup as such?

Can't give any help, don't run Led, but I will say I don't think you can go wrong mixing lightning sources.

The best bud I've grown to date was some Skywalker OG that received lighting from MH/CMH/HPS and 24W UVB during its life cycle.
Harvested it last Christmas, can still crack open a jar and it's as hard/sticky as the day she was chopped.

Different spectrums > single light source.

Best of luck!

I mean i would think 360 true watts would be a better light supply for the small tent with 2 maybe 3 plants at a time than my single Mars Hydro 600... im sure someone will talk shit about both lights cause they aren't $500 dollars but ive seen amazing results with both lights... for a total of $230 ill take it. Im sure ill be able to grab a decent yield running both

I agree it will be better. I'm a BIG fan of watts :)
The more the merrier.

And let people talk shit. I started growing June of 2019, with HPS. All my equipment is "cheap amazon bought" stuff.
If I would have paid attention to some people here, according to them, I would never grow shit with any of it.

I keep my journal link updated and in my signature just so those fuckers can see how wrong they were :)

Do you and you'll be good.

I’ve got a blurple, a cob and a white panel in my 2x4 lol. I’ve gotten some pretty good results so far. I got into growing indoors a few years ago and started with the blurple. I do find it quite comical that post from five years ago rave about the same lights that guys now say can’t even grow the plant lol. But don’t get me wrong the blurple sucks compared to my new lights but it still grow decent pot.

Thats what I figured... i initially went with a newer full spectrum white light but then what sold me on the Viparspectra was the true wattage at the wall and the fact i can use it as just supplemental blue light during veg, just supplemental far red for flower or red and blue on to make blurple for combined light spectrum! I figured hey when im running my first two autos that just broke ground that I could run it combined for the autos and when I start my Peanut Butter Cookies photos from Tastebudz ill sequentially use the light spectrums for all steps of the grow
