Mars Hydro Cup entry

End of 7th week of 12/12 so i took some night shots to see how frosty the girls are getting.

Why are the leaves all yellow crispy and dying with weeks to go. Even at harvest they shouldn't look like that. Some serious claw going on with some as well and some foxtailing starting.

Yes I know. I just gave them a major flush today. I think I had some heavy salt build up.

Using less nutes will prevent that. They looked great in veg. Looks like you might have gone heavy on the bloom nutes once you started flowering. But I don't know what you were feeding so that's just a guess.

Most likely got heavy handed with feeding. It's only my 2nd indoor grow so I'm definitely still learning what not to do lol

It's easy to do when growing in small containers. Not much there to absorb any excesses. You're still going to get some good bud. Just go lighter on the nutes next time and your plants will keep healthy leaves to the end. Healthy leaves make big buds.

Happy growing :blsmoke:

Thank you for the advice. Next run I think I'll use very little nutes and see how that goes. Eventually I just want to go full organic

It's super easy, my dude. I'm running an organic grow, and I'm glad I don't have much of an opportunity to over / underfeed. I suppose I could burn em with the Terp Tea, but I'm barely doing a half dose of that just to push them over the finish line.

I'm transitioning over to organic myself. I've been studying KNF "Korean Natural Farming" and JADAM natural farming methods. My goal is to be entirely self sustaining without the need for any commercial products. That applies to both my gardening and cannabis growing. From farming my own worms for castings to growing my own IMO "indigenous microorganisms" to making FPJ "fermented plant juice" for fertilizer.

I guess I'm tossing the "If it isn't broken" out the window. I experimented this year and the gardening bed I went all organic with in the garden surpassed the beds that I used standard chemical fertilizers on. Plus it's something new and after years of growing the way I have been I'm looking to learn something new.

Good luck with however you grow.

Oh that sounds awesome! I have been slowly stocking myself with more organic products. Bat guano, earthworm castings, bone meal, etc. for my next run. May even build my own compost box to be a little more self sufficient. Thanks for the responses guys. I love information!

Week 8 is coming to an end. The girls are getting pretty frosty. I've started dressing the top of the soil with ice to bring out some color and force that trichome production. Back left is responding really well
