hi friend, thanks for sharing the mars hydro ts. welcome to attend the mars hydro cup to win the Mars Hydro FC led. :)good luck.
I just got the Mars Hydro TS 1000...

Explain to me please the dimming switch? dim down for veg.... turn up for flower?

I planned on using this light for Veg and Bloom..... from what I am seeing that isn't true.... I shouldn't use for bloom.

I was looking for a One Light for the whole grow.... did I get the wrong light for that?

My tent is only 2x3 by 5 feet. I am only going to grow 2 plants at a time.

Thank you kindly for the help

This light will be ok in a 2x3. You will get results, just probably not as much as you would get from a brighter light for this tent size. Optimally you would want a 2x2 sized space for this light. But it will work in your 2x3 if that's all that you have.

Oh and the dimming switch, depending on which model you have; one is either inside the driver underneath the little rubber stopper cap which you insert a small screw driver to turn the knob, and the other version simply has the external dimming knob which would be hard to mistake for anything else.

I have seedlings in with veg plants . My light is 36 inches at 55 percent power . There no definite setting .it’s what the plants tell you . I had it at 24 inches and 65 percent power , and they loved it but for one . Stayed getting fried . I kept backing up the light and reducing power till I saw the welting go away and normal healthy leaves resume. Some like it , some don’t. I’d recommend starting at like 36 inches , 50 percent power . See how they respond . It’s called weed for a reason , it’s resistant to death . I have the same light. Good luck !

you dont really need a dimmer if you've got enough space to raise and lower your lights during various stages of growth. if your leaves are droopy early to mid day and your water and nutes are on point then likely need to raise the lights a bit, if they are raised toward the light (praying) they are likely at the perfect height unless they are getting ready for lights out and still praying then the lights likely a touch too far as they are still wanting more light. veg you should be approx 30 inches from a 400w hps light maybe more about 36ish for 600w and a bit more for 1000W. as you get later into flower they want more light intensity and you can put them closer. it all varies plant by plant so dont take any one persons advice as gospel just pay attention to how they react and you will do just fine

if i were you i would adjust either height or power, by doing both you will have a hard time keeping consistency. light intensity drops off fast the further it is from the source. so by placing the light further you already drop the intensity, adding to that the reduction of power you may have halved the light intesity or more. a rough example, 100w light at at 1 foot away being moved to 2 ft away will be say half the intensity already so if you move it to 2 ft away and drop to 50% wattage you are 1/4 of the strength you were at originally. This again is rough calculation for simple explanation. The actually intensity (lux) may drop off more even idk.
