Mars ts 1000,Qauntum board lm301 or ipower 600 watt hps and metal halide bulb

Exactly.

Please tell me you're not talking about this one, and saying it's an HLG, lol. I hope I'm wrong.
Cracks me up when people come on here for advice and then being in a hurry make a purchase before running it by us. Send us a link and let us help! So much fakery with LED grow lights.

I do think he said he got the HLG though and then saw the cheaper one...
Yeah i believe so, that amazon light is not a grow light by any means lol, like you said knock off trying to pull people in and spend money on garbage... The HLG lights are quality, they work really well and they are true to their word on preformance... they use quality materials to build their products and it makes a huge difference in quality of light you give your plants... eye hortilux bulbs are $50-80 a bulb but they really out preform the $25 ipower bulbs, they use higher quality material inside their bulbs but you will have a higher quality light to give your plants... i think his concern was HLG lights were a rip off cause the price was too high

So I got a question I got the hlg paid $220 for it about now thos ligjt from Amazon is $50 did I get ripped off???

Also I compared the hlg to my amazon 50 dollar light that consumes 185 watts was giving off at least 30000 lux at at 2t5 inches while the hlg was 22000 at a lower height etc??

The Horticultural lighting group quantum board (if that's what you bought) is a top end white based LED which is very efficient using quality Samsung diodes, at 260w it will beat 400w hps in light output very easily.

The BXE or whatever its called is a cheap light made from cheap parts and wont come close to a 400w hps. Despite what the par maps may show.

You only have to look at the description to see its total waffle.

You didn't get ripped off.

So much bullshit marketing out there designed to make you feel good about buying junk because you save money but in the long run when you replace that light a dozen times in 2 years and dont grow as much herb under the cheaper light you really have just spent more money over time to harvest less and not as high quality of product

If someone wants to save money on lighting then the way to go is definitely NOT led. Buying cheap LED simply guarantees that you won't be happy with it. One can however get a HID light on the cheap, especially with single ended lights. Often you can get them on craigslist for super cheap since so many growers are upgrading to DE lighting or LED.

Yeah for HID lighting $300 is 2 1000w hps lights, grown right could be near 4lbs or more on a 4x8 table and then run the next cycle on those bulbs again get another 4+ lbs out of that same $300 investment, tried and true lighting application as well

It is hard to convince people that they get what they pay for in this world.
Quit a lot of the rubbish Burples are more expensive than the white HLG/MarsHydro LEDs.
I got a HLG 240w + 2 Chinese Quantum V2 knock offs for $150 delivered .......... I'm very pleased with it, lights my 2ft x 4ft tent a treat.

All the poop lights they're selling on Amazon with fake reviews makes me never want to buy from Amazon again.

They're not saving money though, I don't miss the days of replacing HPS bulbs 2 x a year per fixture @ 85$ a bulb..then running AC for 6 months a year to cool them.
