Damn that dehuey is badass
It's definitely doing what its supposed to .. it's designed to be used in water damaged homes .. in an enclosed basement it'll drop the RH to 30 easily and it'll dry everything out quickly... the downside is that it has to be manually turned on and off so I can't tie it into an automated humidistat like I would eventually like to be able to do ... I'm sure I could rig something up but I use it for other things throughout the year .. most of the time its family or friends with a flooded basement to clean up .. eventually I'll probably switch out to something mounted on the end wall that can be automatically controlled when RH climbs

I'm also looking into sulphur burners to use at beginning of flower to completely eradicate any mold spores that might be on the plants.
I wasn't covered up until about sept 1 this year so I treated with daconil once and serenade once just after closing it in ... I haven't seen a spot of mold yet... I'm thinking that if I keep a dry environment with air constantly moving I shouldn't really have to worry about it much... but I still watch every bud like a hawk... I believe years of spotting rot has permanently traumatized me to the point that I'll never stop looking ... nonetheless, when the season's over and all plants are down, I'll probably mix up a hydrogen peroxide mixture and spray every square inch down so nothing survives the winter

Prayer can help. Maybe a ritual sacrifice to the ganja gods.

Personally I'm in raised beds without any cover so I'm gonna wait until they're done or until the first signs of bud rot which ever comes first.
One of my plants did have bud rot but I cut it off ASAP should I cut the plant down and if I do will the potency be there

bud rot is like a systemic cancer... you can cut it out, treat the area around it, and still live to a ripe old age.. but, just like a systemic cancer, you need to constantly watch and monitor for it, because its always there... just waiting for the right conditions to rear its ugly head

I'd wait. Check every day, if you find more bud rot I'd chop. If you can't take the drama, chop the tops and let the lower buds mature.

Put the plastic up today over the 2 big girls that still need a couple weeks.
nice City... this raincover is pisser... seems like there's 3 new threads a day that basically have the same title, " Oh shit it's raining, wtf should I do?" ... here's the answer ... goes up quick, comes down quicker, costs less than $100, donezo

love to see the shed full of weed too.. glad you made it

Thanks man tried to run 3 early finishers and 3 mid oct strains. So I could space the drying out to make room. 1 of my early finishers had a stem split that got infected and is really struggling so it's still in ground going to just chop and freeze to make hash. And also one of my late finishers had the same problem. And I choped it early can see the remains in the greenhouse picture in front. I can only imagion what I would be dealing with space wise in the drying room of all had went to term.

Well 1st thing i would do or what i will do if i see any bud rot is Mass inspection of all buds on all plants if it is possible to do so ( Some have Redwood Tree fields ]

What is found is cut out post haste then it's time for a 35% Food grade hydrogen peroxide shower 2 teaspoons to a 1 gallon jug of distilled water can go less but do not put any more then 2 tea spoons the Mist your plant down good.

Then you need to decide if your chopping or chancing more rot .

Found rot on a few big colas..its all coming down with the cold nights coming and rain early next week. Happy to have made it into October and all milky trichs so only a bit early.

How do you guys manage these huge harvests? All dry trimming? Seems like a hell of a mess to hang entire plants off 7-8’ trees. Was planning to semi trim all huge colas then dry trim the rest in sections.

As much as it pains me to say this, Ive decided to start harvesting because of extreme cold ( 35f this am) and out of the next ten days...8 have rain forcasted. We are expected to go below freezing at night over next cpl of days. Better now rather than never. Could have gone another week maybe two but tis the luck when growing up north. Good Luck NEasterner's !

Here are my Afghan Kush from first grow in SE Mass- they were outside from June through September. I brought them inside to my sunroom for their final days to avoid rain and mold exposure. Fought off mildew and caterpillars with minimal damage. Pics are below. I’m wondering just how much longer I should let them go before chopping. Have a microscope to look at trichomes, but any white pistils still seem to show clear (see pic). Any advice appreciated!

Nice plants, ya that’s odd that the trichs are still clear at this point. I’m wondering if any lights on in the house at night are confusing them. I’m sure someone more experienced will chime in with a more concrete answer.

Massive harvest mode before the weekend cold (frost warning) and some cold wet weather early next week. Going to be pulling some late nights trimming as the plants simply wont fit anywhere for dry trim.

Took samples early and always like smoking a harvest’s output while i trim. Since a tiny bit early this C99 cut we’ve had this year produces an awesome initial roaring high then a nice ramp down to mello. Should be awesome yard work type product vs couch lock.
