max plant size for 3 gallon final pot

Would it be ok to veg plants to 16-18 inches in 3 gallon pots... i'm just wirried about them getting rootbound..im new at this and from what I hear plants can double/triple in size during flower.. and they prolly will because they are under a 1000 watt in 5x5. Whats the max height I should shoot for in veg with 3 gallon pots?

One foot per gallon is a general rule of thumb. So ya 16 to 18" will work well, then switch em to 12 12. Good luck and good growing

Cool, glad to hear that... their is also an issue with a plant where the leaves are turning yellow at the top.... but my buddy discovered when he woke up that morning it was 87 degrees in the room... 6 of 7 plants showed no symptoms but the smallest white widow at about 4 1/2 inches tall has the yellow leaves on the top.... I say heat stress because all the plants have the exact same growing media, water, nuts, ect... and the pictures match up with the symptoms. I know the best thing to do is post a pic so you can actually give me advice that's useful but their is no way in hell my buddy would do that because it gives him a sharp pain in his gut... I think it's heat stress because it's not getting worse and the temp is under control now. Is their anything I can do to help revive the plant from the stress? Maybe add a little GH rapidstart?.... or should I just stick with the water ... because it's already in foxfarm ocean forest and it's only 4 1/2 inches tall? All plants are 3 weeks 4 days old (from seed) I'm my friend should stick with water... but if the General Hydroponics Rapidstart (1-0.5-1) can do anything to help it, or you have any other solution that might reduce the stress i'm up for helpful hints...

I use SuperThrive, had great luck with it. Be careful, they really mean a drop a gallon. I use a drop and a half, but its pretty potent.
