today I saw in a whatsapp group a guy claiming to have harvested about 600g dry in an 80x80 tent with 9 auto plants using a 240w kit of Chinese quantum boards, so 2.5g per watt and about 937g per m2, does anyone here get these numbers?
If you didn’t say Chinese I wouldn’t have believed you.

2.3 gpw i can believe.. Growing from seed, and as an average, not so much.
But this is the internet and folks can claim whatever they like
the best me and my brother ever did was like 0.6gpw with hps single ended lmfao and i was damn proud of us yielding 500-600 grams with a 1000 watt hps in a 4x4 grow tent. that was damn impressive back in the day in my opinion lol so when people are claming 2.3gpw with 240 watt led's i cant believe that you will yield the same as a 1000watt hps with a 240 watt led like i cant believe it lmfao. shoot i have a 240watt led panel and that thing sucks balls compared too a 1000watt hps i cant believe they yield the same lmfao.

I wasn’t the one with a 240w I jumped into this post I have 4 650w in a 10x10

Ive seen 350g out of a 80x80 auto tent using only 100w of led light, 6 plants. Not samsung diodes but similar efficiency due to being run very soft and with perfect even spread. Though g/w has become somewhat a silly metric; you can fairly easily crush the numbers with low watts + larger space + autos (+66% light per day moving from 12h flower to 20h cycle). The numbers over 2g/w quoted above are all possible but not so relevant unless correlated to how much yield per area: high g/w with low g/foot is extremely achievable.
- Spectrum in flower was 2700k 90cri + 660/630nm supplemental, lower cct in veg. Somewhat thru anecdote and reading up on the science: the lower intensity of light the more important the spectrum and its impact on yield.

Id say that the grow referenced is possible but unlikely, youd have to have an idea of how far he dries his crop before weighing it in. I would not be expecting this yield if youre starting out growing, its better to be realistic. This is top level performance if all true. Its basicly 3 per light in a 4x4.

Very true I’ve been at it for 12 years you can’t do over 2.0g/watt without additional training or mainlining to get big buds all the way down. Also this was based on a 7 day dry

Why wouldn't you do "additional training" though? LST should be mandatory, otherwise you're wasting electricity. If I get less than 300g dry from my 80(w)x60(d)x70(h)cm micro tent I know I've messed up bad.

The square footage makes the yield questionable, its like just over 3 oz per square foot which i have problem a problem seeing. But wattage?
Its an auto grow so instead of 12 its 24 hours; this doubles the potential light. Then depending on your hps and the led board the leds leds are about twice as good at making light out of electricity. So double (hours of light on) and then again double again (amount of light per watt): 240x2x2= 960w > your hps will deliver a very comparable amount of light during 12 hours as decent 240w led board does in 24 hours. Its not the watts that make the yield its the amount photons the plant receives. We yielded a max of 600g over a 4x3 with a 600w hps a few times. But i agree on doubting a yield like that based on the g/square footage, id need pics tbh
