Maxi Grow and MaxiBloom?

I use silica and sm-90 when it was available. I've never used bloom boosters and another grower recommended KoolBloom.......so I tried it......and frankly I didn't think it made a difference.

What was your pH issue?
Lack of proper maintenance on my meter. Borrowed a dropper test from a buddy and my meter was way off. Ordered 250ml bottles of calibration fluid as well as probe storage solution.

I pH until the vial is piss yellow......more toward orange than green. You don't have to be exact.....as long as it's yellow.
I feed once per day to run off during veg and twice a day in flower.....never water.
Understood. Thank you for your time. Hopefully I will stop dropping leaves soon. One more quick question, what is you silica dosage and do you use it all the way through?

used maxigrow 5 tables spoons per gallon twice a day, pushed up to 6 and 7 before bloom (Container garden)
DUring bloom I used 5 tablespoons ONCE a week and got yellow leafs...

Switched to bloom and got nitrogen deficiencies at flower. The bloom has LOW nitrogen,. I might hit with a 50/50 mix today.
Id watch the nitrogen when your plants mature. Normal sure, but necessary that the leafs curl up and die? NO.

Near the end like sept 7th im buying the $$$$ High end organics for flavor and bud juiciness.
Lmao I’m surprised they didn’t die

I just found out the nitrogen levels are pretty low, my plants have been fading away since I stopped using maxigrow. Now I know. Next time il continue with the nitrogen for maybe 4 more weeks

Fast forward 3 years, Maxi is a great value compared to similar salts I won't mention. :hump:
Yes. MaxiBloom start to finish works great. It's easy. Inexpensive. And there's no need to deal with a half dozen bottles and mix formulas that change weekly based on the age of the plant. And no need to mix more than one formulation of nutes if you have plants in both flower and veg.

Mega Crop one part is still less than half the cost of the Maxi series.

And in a comparison grow I was using roughly the same amount of each...

Just saying ;)

Cheers

Yep, still love Maxi series, both Grow and Bloom. I used to do Bloom only, but now I like using both and do 50/50 from start of 12/12 to mid flower, then switch to just Bloom. I like them to get the micros at least through stretch. Still using .8 to 1 ec (6.3 ph) depending on the plant.

I was wanting to ask if anyone is using Grow. What color does the stuff mix up to with grow & bloom  :?:? Is the Nitrogen too hot in the Grow itself to use just Grow in veg which is why you use 50/50 Grow/Bloom into stretch?

MegaCrop leaves too much white salt residue for my taste. I've seen smart pots that were once black turn white after 1 run with that stuff. Also crusty trays and drains. Maxi doesn't have that issue.

Also, a 25 lb bag of MegaCrop 1 part is $100, a 16 lb tub of Maxibloom 1 part is $80, so the price is not that different if your buying bulk. You can get a 50 lb bucket of maxibloom for $200 shipped.

I use grow for all of my veg then taper across the couple weeks of transition. This past time i went a little too hard for a week or two on the bloom and had some burn (had to at least try) up to 7g, backed off to about 5g and coasted on out.

On the cost...Maxi is already pretty cheap, I'm not bargain hunting to save a few cents per per grow. I go through one 2.2lb bag of bloom every year or year and a half.
