Me Oh My's 5x5 perpetual

Hello folks, I'm an old school grower, and used to be active on this site in 2012-2016. I lost my account credentials and decided to just start a new account. I moved from the Rocky Mountains to North-east Ohio, recently, so my old user name of RockyMtnMan, didnt seem to fit anyhow.

I'm growing in a peat/coco/perlite blend, I mix myself. I use JR Peter's, Bushdoctor cal/mag, and a bit of Epsom salt. I monitor my Ph, EC, PPM, etc. I adjust and change feeds by growth stage.

I'm just going to throw up a couple broad pics, and add more as I go along. I'm mostly growing older, strains and a few landraces. I'm 62 years old and still nostalgic about strains from the 70s-90s and classics from Holland, N Cali, etc...

my little 5x5 tent is 80" tall. I have an inline fan and carbon scrubber in there. It vents out the basement window. Daily temps average 77 all day at 56-60% rh.
I'm running a Mars TS 3000, 440 watt, full spectrum, with the deep red also. I use T5 light strips with far red, to use the side of the tent for staging plants in stretch. Once they get taller, they move down. Hopefully, I keep up the timing in the perpetual. I have plants in veg just holding, mainline, 4-topping, etc..

That tall one in the back left is a Columbian x Skunk landrace cross from Ace seeds
The one in the back right with the purple fans is Boss Hogg. It's a Chem 91 bx

Thanks, I've got quite a seed collection! I left Colorado in 2016 and moved to Wyoming. It was very unfriendly there.
I just moved to Ohio and dropped seeds two weeks after I arrived. Some were 10 years old.
I'm still on the clean genetics kick. I want small genetic branches that aren't muddled with dozens of crosses.
I like finding phenotypes in old classics. That's where all these strains nowadays came from. I've been chasing chemdawg for years and all chem based strains from the 90s.

I like the new gear too! I'm still into Bodhi seeds and they are kind of a boutique breeder, but get some crazy phenos of crosses. I'm growing a few seedlings of Sundance, from them now.
I've got a Sensi seeds, Shiva Skunk 6 weeks in veg now. That's an old classic India. It's a beautiful, stable, bushy plant. Its next in line for the flower tent next week. It's my first run in the new tent, and I'm really-crowded it, but the perpetual is starting to time out good.

Ive got NL5 seeds, I thought about running. Like you were saying, there is so much out there now, I keep sticking with breeders I had experience with, or strain lineages I recognize. I stored a lot of seeds in airtight, dark jars in the fridge, my inventory is based off a lot of old classics. Lol
So far, so good, I'm about 5-10 days out on 3 plants.

Welcome back to RIU. Just came back, as well.

Your setup is very clean and organized...aesthetic.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing what you grow! Your plants look well cared for.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm scrolling around looking at other grows. Much has changed and a lot hasn't. It's pretty fun. I will look for, and follow your grow. :weed:

This is what I mix to make my grow medium. I soak the coco bale in hot water, then break it up, and rinse it in in #4 grow bags, until the water comes out clear. I mix that wet, rinsed, coco with the dry peat, 50/50. After I have a big tub of coco/peat, I mix in about 10% perlite, and an ounce or so of micorizhae.
Roots grow crazy fast in this, but it drains quickly. I find it best to water a little, let it soak, then add the rest, or it flows out quickly.
The Ph works good for me around 6.0-6.2. I had some nute deffeciencies early on, until I dropped the ph a bit. Other than that, it's been working great!

I used Sunshine Promix for years, but that and other peat blends got expensive these past few years. Coco is cheap, and a good inert filler.
