medical coco grow 4k bloom, 2x600w veg!

I'm at day 56 in my 4k bloom room and will harvest on day 63. I will be pulling 3x AK, 3x Ice, 1x red Devil, 1x ft.collins cough, and 1x sour diesel. 9 plants total. I'm a medical grower and my plant count just went up so my set up is in transition.

The bloom is currently set up for dwc but is transitioning to full on coco coir/ chc in 5gal growbags after this harvest. Moving into bloom will be 5x Sour diesel, 2x red devil, 2x kalidream (dreamweaverXkalimist), 3x ice, 3x pkpk (purplekushxpussykush), 3x (m9xhashplant #1 pheno), 4x (m9xhashplant #2 pheno), and 2x ft.collins cough. 24 plants total.

My veg has been 18/6 for just about 2 months so it's big time ready to go. I cut clones 3-4 days ago and now am just counting the days till harvest.

My intention for this thread is to be a constructive discussion forum about anything having to do with this type of setup and similar methods of growing. I welcome all who wish to participate :bigjoint:

Will try to have pics up before day 63 so stay tuned...

Very Very nice. You are obviously using two separate rooms for veg and flower, but my question is are they two rooms or one split? If they are split how did you split them? I am looking for cloth so i don't have to build a wall to split the two rooms.
Thx for the help in advance.

my bloom and veg are separate from one another. veg is 9x5x7 and bloom is 9x9x7. but yes good eye, they are the same oddly shaped basement room.

for the bloom i framed a wall w/ 2x4 and insulated with 2in foam board. for the veg i framed w/ 2x4 and used black and white poly (panda plastic). i would recommend to you getting some panda plastic to separate your rooms as it will ensure zero light leaks if done well. looking back i could have built the bloom the same way as the veg and saved some money but with 4~1000w i wanted some heat insulation (works great in winter w/ no heater).

also today is harvest day so i'll update with harvest pics soon.

thanks for checking in!

tuesday marked day 63 in my garden and everything in bloom got the chop. flushed for 2 days and tasted water forming on stem after cutting down. no nutrients left in this medicine.

chopped 1 at a time and trimmed wet, took maybe 45min/ plant. each plant was labeled and then hung in a drying chamber. temperature stays 66f and humidity around 24%. don't know exact weight yet. i'm happy with the quality of meds and excited to have some new genetics in rotation.

thanks to those checking this out, questions and/or comments welcome...

bloomfields: thanks for kind words...

magnetar: tasty indeed. ppms in veg were brought up to 900 right before 12/12. in the end i never went above 1050ppm, generally never going above 1200ppm.

drying is moving along smoothly, temp and humidity are maintaining (we'll see how it does with this snowstorm coming in). veg has officially transitioned to bloom, and my clones are 75/100 rooted with no losses. not pushing 100 clones so some will either be sacrificed to the compost or dispensaries (sometimes easier to trash extra clones than dealing with dispensary).

thanks for stoppin by people!

captainkush and medimaryuser: thanks for shout outs and rep!

bigblock7: this last dwc grow was extremely simple in the nutrients i used. h&g roots excel, pure blend pro grow and bloom, and tons of beneficial bacteria.

kinda surprising considering all the additives sitting on my shelf right now (sweet, karma, gravity). mainly i used pbp for dwc because it's clean. now i'm still using it even though i'm in 5gal coco bags because i get results.

i've been making more microbial and fungal teas and was considering switching it up. house & garden have coco based nutes that i've heard perform extremely well as synthetic nutrients. the dilemma is running say earth juice nutes and sacrificing some yield but getting a more adequate representation of true medicine (seen most brand name organics that cost 3x ej nutes yield same ej does).

i'll probably end up making teas and running pbp nutes w/ teas to desired ppms. also the new bloom line up has settled in to their new home. the kalidream (dreamweaverxkalimist) smells unlike anyother plant i've encountered. so pungent almost like what you'd epect jenkem (google it if you don't already know) to smell like, guess we'll know soon enough.

Is there a chart available for all these acronyms? Throw me a freakin bone ova here :dunce: +rep

That's some serious wattage, I'm jealous! You said transitioning to coco & chc, whats chc? Do you plan to hand water, drip, flood & drain?

smokingrubber: dwc=deep water culture, h&g roots excel= house and garden root excelurator, pbp= pure blend pro nutrient line, 5gal coco bags = 5 gallon grow bags filled with coconut husk chunk and coir blend, ej nutes= earth juice nutrient line, ppm= parts per million, think that's all of them.

someguy15: chc= coconut husk chunk, made from coco husk, allows for more air in mix. not to be confused with coco coir/ fiber. i use chc instead of perlite as it looks better in my outdoor garden. as for my watering i top feed w/ drip line hooked to a pump in 20 gal rez w/ float valve.

here are a few pics of my current pull. i have a harvest thread up where i'm documenting my two stage harvest, check it out!

awesome grow, you obviously know what you're doing
what was your final weight of yield ?
you only had 9 plants ???
did you use co2 ?? gravity ??
i heard using the gravity tends to make the buds mold, is it true ?
