Medical Marijuana recommendation Process

Where would I go? And does it cost anything to get the checkup/doctor or physician to sign the papers? I'm under 18, so I need to have 2 different Physicians recommend it to me. (Parents consent to it, yes, I meet all the other requirements too)

But yeah, where can/do I go? Can I just walk into a hospital and say 'Can I get a Physician or Doctor to give me an Examination for Medical Marijuana?' or is it better to locate (if any) Medical Marijuana Doctors in Michigan and go there and have the Checkup. And once again, does this cost anything?

And I obviously would want to bring with me to each Doctor the Medical Marijuana Doctors forms right?

Go to one of the countless number of doctors that are advertising for medical marijuana, a simple google search should give you plenty of options. There are billboards off the freeways and stuff as well lol. It will cost you approx. $100-150 for the doctors appointment, and another $100 that you send to the state with the doctors recommendation. 21 days after they cash that $100 check, you are now a legal patient, enjoy! The only records that I brought to the doctors office was from a trip to the emergency room when I broke my arm skateboarding in college. I doubt I even needed it.

Well hopefully the place he went is still doing the evaluations, cuz there is no way I can pay that much. I asked him if I can go to a hospital and get both evaluations from any 2 doctors there, he said he doesn't know but I should be able to. Has anyone gotten there evaluations from a hospital?

why would that insult my intelligence? its yours that was insulted when you thought you were getting free doc rec. because a free evaluation does not = doctors rec............ $$ = doctor rec. always.

you will never get it from a hospital. if you see a physician on a regular basis for some debilitating disease then perhaps he/she will sign your paperwork but most will not.

I actually found out some hospitals are recommending it quite a bit. I got a friend that works in a hospital around metro Detroit and he always complains about all the mmj forms he has to fill out just for the hospital side of it. You are right though I wouldn't put money on it. I paid 100 for mine but I had records but the place I went to was pot themed but it looked a lot nicer and more professional then a lot of the other options I had.

if you cant afford the doctors fee then your probably SOL, because you have to pay the state a hundred bucks a year to be liscenced

i have talked with MANy of growers who are debilitated with true illness and they even had to go to a pot themed doc cause they couldnt find a simple physician to sign.

I actually think the doctor had a more legit practice and he only did that in the side at another location. He had weird hours and drove in after I showed up at like 3 pm. I'm banking on that so maybe he's under the radar ish if he owns another practice or any similar situation.

Yea, I paid $200 for my first one, but that was very early into it, and I was with little medical records. My renewal was only $100 and it was from a different doctor, it was closer, I walked there.

I guess it depends on where you live, the going price here in ann arbor is 100-150, and I am even seeing adverts where the doctor comes to your home for $150. Gotta love the house call, I just might have a doctor visit me for my next renewal if I look into to that and it looks legit.

If you have a doctor that you regularly see, and even better that your insurance covers, then by all means, it couldn't possibly hurt to ask them.
