Once again, med program repeal is happening. If you don’t believe or think Kirk/Tweed will fight for your garden...dun dun dunnn

As of Oct 17th cannabis will no longer be under CDSA. It will be under the Cannabis act.

Making 2 repeals Oct 17th,

I just skimmed the new regs, medical is specifically listed in there. A very cursory review and it appears to be similar to the acmpr.

New regs can be obtained by emailing cannabis@canada.ca

I can’t post them as I don’t know how to host a PDF anonymously. If someone wants to pm me their email addy I will email them a copy.

While the new Industrial Hemp Regulations are generally consistent with the current Industrial Hemp Regulations:  some changes have been made, with the goal of aligning licence requirements to the relatively low risk posed by industrial hemp as compared with other varieties of cannabis  the sale of hemp plants (flowers, leaves and branches) to licensed cannabis processors will be permitted, to provide a source of low THC, high cannabidiol (CBD) cannabis products

this is HUGE!!!

They're being repealed because both aspects are covered under the new cannabis act regulations. It's a technicality & nothing to get your panties in a bunch about.
If you can find me proof nothing’s changing in the program I’m sure many would be thankful

That's a convoluted way to look at it. When the gov has said they aren't changing it for 5 years until a review & there's a logical explanation for repealing it (ie. cannabis isn't part of the CDSA so why would it be regulated under it when there's a new act, C45/cannabis act, that now regulates all activity including medical), why would you assume it's being changed?

If I come across anything about it I'll be sure to share it but personally it's a none issue for me so I'm going to spend time on it specifically.
