This is how to give good info to the RIU community.
Hey thanks man, I appreciate the kind words.

This thread was actually not too informative, I kind of just wanted to show off some bud pron:)

However, if you want more of an outlined, detailed grow that covers a range of information regarding organic horticulture, you should go ahead and check out my signature.

I grew out 15 seeds, and 10 were female. From those, three of the phenotypes were the same and were the best of the lot. The one pictured above is the best pheno of the final three.
Also sounds very similar to my experience w/ nirvana's version. Consistent pheno grown (if there was a different one I didn't find it). Mine were pretty consistent of the ones I grew.

These were Mr Nice, not Nirvana. The buds shown above are over 8" long and over 1 1/2" wide.
Very nice! I just got my Mr Nice seeds today!! Germinating tonight now that both my orders have arrived.

If they were in your hands, you would consider them pretty dense. I would say on a scale form 1-10, 10 being most dense, they are about a 7.
Not saying they weren't dense, just that the version I grew before seemed denser based on appearance (which from a photo doesn't really mean shit, and I grew it several years ago so I could even be misremembering). MM was not the densest strain, but it definitely wasn't airy bud at all... pretty solid nuggest all the way through but also not the most super rock hard dense buds either... yours does look pretty similar to the way I remember mine looking so guessing Nirvana's probably was (at least several years back when I got it) based on original genetics at least :) I wish I had some MM right now but I'll have to wait a few months.

You post a smoke report yet? How does it compare to some of the more potent strains you've grown or smoked? It's been a few years for me since I've grown/had it -- at the time I had so much good bud flowing it all ran together into one budsoaked good time -- I don't really remember how the MM stood out compared to the other strains I grew at the time other than I was quite happy with it and it was good medicine :)

Sense,

You're spot on about the Medicine, Man...kinda dense but not too much:) Have definately had much harder denser nuggets, but it is definately worlds apart from loose.

I haven't produced a smoke report. I am not a huge fan of doing them, honestly...I like to share my growing and work with others to help me and them in this hobby...but smoking for me is a pretty private experience nowadays...and smoke reports are, like wine reviews, always very subjective to the individual, the pproduct, and the atmosphere and mental state in which it is being consumed.

I own a fine wine cellar, where I conduct wine tastings and such...so I have a tendency to compare cannabis with wine.

But I digress. Medicine, Man is a quality smoke that is not the strongest I have had, but provides me with a nice mellow buzz that relaxes my mind and body. The taste is a little spicy, and the it smells kinda like cat piss, honestly. I like it enough to be running her again the next round...and that is saying something...because I am also running Barney's Vanilla Kush(a great black pheno I found), Mr Nice Black Widow, DJ Short Blueberry and TGA Vortex clones alongside my Medicine Man clones. Some pretty solid genetics, and the head I get off Medicine Man is second behind the Vanilla Kush.

How do you like the Vortex (it's on my next buy wish list). Also how do you like the Mr Nice Black Widow?

I'm in search of a white strain I got in florida a long time back. No idea what it was, but it was probably the whitest/most crystally bud I've ever had (including what I grew myself). Shit literally had me seeing minor visual tracers and unable to move faster than slow motion. I remember lifting my arm and it taking like 10 or 15 seconds to get it all the way up. Crazy.

I tend to blow off most smoke reports anyway mainly because unless the person has a similar tolerance to me it won't mean much. I smoke a good portion of the day (for going on almost 15 years) so I got a tolerance and the crap I've heard other people say is crazy is just average smoke to me.

I don't expect any of the strains I have now to be that florida strain I had (i always kind of assumed it was a very well done white widow), but would love to find a strain that had a similar effect. Have a couple Sensi White Russian seeds too for the future so maybe one of those may be my white grail ;)

So far I have not tried Vortex or Black Widow. This is my first time running each. They are all doing quite well, and everything is cloned in case I find a nice keeper.

So far, the Vortex isn't throwing out too many smells...but it is a little further behind the Black Widow because I basically did Vortex 12/12 from seed.

The Black Widows were topped after the 2nd node for four-top production...and thrown into 12/12 soon after. So far, 2 or 3 of the BW phenos have great inernodal spacing, packing on some nice weight early on, and are smelling great. The other phenos are similar, but not as strong or as tight. Pretty solid genetics though, I am very happy so far with all of Mr Nice Seeds' gear. Shanti has solid genetics, and doesn't use methods that compromise his work. Actually, I just got his Critical mass in today(Big Bud)...and my Cali Connection Tahoe OG is on its way too.

Tahoe OG is absolute fire...some of the strongest cannabis I have ever grown, hands down. So strong I threw it into butter and made some peanut butter cookies to take with me when I went down to Disney World with my fiancee. So strong, it made Disney a blast:)

The Widow is also a very robust and vigorous grower, stretches 3-5x after flip. It is nuts, must be the Brazilian Sativa poking through.

I'd say more about the Vortex, but they are all just beginning to throw out some flowers...so I will have to update you in the near future:)

Nice reports bro, I'm glad I found this. I been starting to use more of the older school breedersw and strains lately too, and want to try to run this one. I just ran the BW recently. I was looking for a breeder maleut didn't find one, but out of 8 seeds got dank females! Some variety, but all good. I just popped Mr Nice The Shit (Skunk #1) and bought G13 Widow and Shark Shock.

Yeah, i tend to go for the old-school genetics. However, if I find some dank new genetics, I definately run that too....for example, I ran Tahoe OG last year and just ordered a new pack...that is some straight fire.

Would like to get OGRaskal's next drop, I can never seem to get his seeds.

If I had more space to flower in I'd for sure turn into a seed hoarder :) Would love to get more of both old school and what the new guys have coming out but i got seeds to last me through the rest of this year easily in my current space so hard to justify. But i'm going to enjoy the og kush and late the sour kush too... and hopefully the greenhouse og strains I got are actually og (since i keep hearing negative stuff about their breeding/reliability) -- greenhouse and CH9 freebies are last on my list. I probably won't grow any of them until all my TGA & Mr Nice seeds have been grown out. Sadly if I find keepers with these first plants I'll probably only have room for 1 new female of a new strain each run -- and i'll have to not grow one of the strains i'm growing now out :( But what are the odds out of 5 seeds I'm going to get 3 moms and 3 keepers.

That's cool. I finally found some OGrascal seeds over at SowAmazingSeeds....even though they're mad expensive. I just dropped 175 bills on White Fire OG Seeds, feminized.

I do not like feminized seeds, and never buy them...I do not like to support that practice. However, I guess this is the only version OGrascal has of White Fire OG, as it is a clone only strain.

Since I have heard nothing but unbelievable things of this strain from this breeder, I am quite excited to see what turns out.

I'm sure it's over-rated, like much in the cannabis world, but it will still be an interesting experiment for me.

I feel the same as you on feminized seeds, and also like you sometimes the necessary evil for that clone only strain ;) Can't wait to see the white fire og grow thread :)

it would be pretty sweet to just be growing through your packs as usual and one day wake up to realize that you've found your personal grail of a mother... have not found/grown her yet, but looking forward to her when she comes my way.

I have just a few times...for the discerning connoisseur, it is a long and lengthy process of growing out many seeds to find a true keeper. Generally speaking, it takes me anywhere from 50-100 regular seeds, on average, to find a true mother keeper by my standards.

Alas, I do not spend that kind of time or finance on pheno-hunting anymore. My business partner used to do that kind of thing quite often, and I learned a lot from his process. However, for me, it is easier to roll a 10-20 pack and select the best of that. That's all I do now, 10-20 seeds per run, and if I don't find a keeper I don't run that strain anymore.
