Im going to put a few Bubba's , a few early purple kush and some Mekong High all outside! The Mekong clones are so fast to grow!!!!I AM READY FOR A GOOD SUMMERearly purple kush looks like the shit

Often depends on how long you veg them for. Outdoors they would probly get much taller, with the long spring/summer veg period and in the ground (in a large pot). Indoors, in small pots, with shorter veg times you can usually keep 'em under four feet. They may actually get a little taller still during flowering...I've seen that happen on occasion, where they just keep gaining height all the way through until harvest. Always helps to have a lot of room, just in case...so much harder to control with four feet or less.

I really wonder if the Mekong will finish october outside anyway that's a free try!!

The smell of the Mekong High is something else smells like acid bitter weird smell but I LIKEITALOT

LOl, have you pinched any samples yet? I always end up trying a small amount of early bud when I grow a new strain...I just can't help myself.

Well, I got some pics of my recent Cali O's in my grow journal here (https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/404334-wardrobe-box-grow-4.html) but they're only the vegged plants and some young clones. In post #33 you can see the one Cali O lady in my cab (on the far left) that I started to flower, but she soon grew into the lights and I had to pull her and take clones...then unfortunately I had to shut the grow down a week later due to the fact that we have to pack up and move soon. I have another pic of her here in post #3411 (https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/151706-uncle-bens-topping-technique-get-342.html#post5465213). She loved being topped and was beautifully symmetrical with four main stalks when I put her into flowering...but I waited too long to put her in 12/12 and she took off into the lights. For now all I have left are a handful of rooted clones living in a closet. Cali O def seems to grow better under HID than fluoros, imo, as she did seem lankier this time around. I'm hoping to grow out one of these outdoors this summer, but that depends on where we end up living.

My first (and only) completed grow of Cali O was done about ten years ago...I did take many pics of them at the time, but they were all on film (this was well before the intro of digital cameras) and I was probably too paranoid to have any of the prints scanned and digitized, so unfortunately I have no jpeg files from that one. They grew to about 4-5 feet tall in a closet under 150w hps and T-12 fluorescents for side-lighting. Got about 1.5 oz per plant avg, I think, very nice bud. Also made some killer "green dragon" from the trim, got a few of us extremely stoned at a wedding reception in summer 2003, as I recall. Good times...

Yeah, that was my first time with only CFLs. Never got my flowering cab put together, or I would have used my hps. The CFLs worked out much better than I expected.

Don't think I've ever grown a pure sativa, but quite a few sativa-dominant hybrids. That's my preference smoke-wise, but, yeah, they def grow taller than the indicas like BK. I guess that's one of the reasons why the kushes are so popular with indoor growers...height restrictions can make growing sativas a little trickier (unless you lst or scrog 'em). Also, sativas generally take a lot longer to mature, so not many folks are patient enough to wait 12 or 14 weeks for bud.

I've got a pack of Reeferman's Willie Nelson that I'm itching to grow...both outside and indoors as a scrog. Supposed to be a pure sativa strain. Gotta wait until I can devote a long full season, though...and I doubt I'll be ready to do it this year since we're moving. Maybe next summer...

I've read in a number of places that Reeferman's WN is pretty darn close to a pure sativa. I'm not even sure I've ever smoked one before, so I figured I gotta give it a try at some point. Supposedly it's a pretty decent yielder for a sativa.
