Tues Oct 18 2022 -
Purchased 4 feminised Gorilla Glue #4 from MediSeed Man which arrived today.

Put 1 seed straight in seedling soil, pot is approx. (1 litre) and then did the other 3 in the paper towel method.

Wed Oc 19 -
Fuck me, the paper towel seeds all sprouted overnight…they were in a loosely sealed plastic container on a heat pad.
Put the 3 sprouted seeds in small growing pots (cup size).
The large pot seed not pushing through yet.

Thrus 20th -
Had all pots outside in sun all day and kept spraying every 4 hours to keep moist.
None of the 4 sprouts have pushed through soil…as expected.
I’m bringing in pots at night.

Fri 21st -
Happy to see all 4 have broken top soil but still have helmets on.

Sat 22 -
4 seedlings have helmets off. Big pot girl has cotyledons!. Big pot girl looking best and was direct soil germination. Inside at night still.

Sun 23 -
One of the small pot girl has cotyledons and first leaves as well, and is taller than the big pot girl. The other 2 small pot girls still without cotyledons.

Still cloudy days but around 20 degrees and humid for Melbourne.
Bringing in at nights.

Built a frame for the grow bag. Bag is on a dolly and is 15 gallons. It’s filled with organic soil and has a top covering of the seedling soil. I’ve done a Neem oil soak. Aim to transplant the best girl in 2 weeks. The other 3 girls I will give away.

Tuesday 25th - picked out two of the girls in the smaller pots, one didn’t open up and the other was stuck together and I attempted to open her but split it down the stem. The last little pot girl is powering upwards and looks great. Transplanted the large pot girl to a small pot, she is slow growing and small and has a seed half shell stuck to one of her cotyledons…she seems ok and I expect her to live but want two plants so started my last seed in a third small pot ( just dropped it straight in the seed soil).
I made a second 15 gallon fabric pot with a trellis.

Fri 28th - both seedlings having decent growth every day. Weather is total garbage with zero sun and showers all day…been like that for 3 days and more to come for a week. I have them in a home made tiny greenhouse so they don’t get wet but with top temperatures of 15 degrees Celsius I’m not expecting “normal” growth. This spring sux! As long as they don’t die I am still in the game. Still bringing them in at night…here they getting ready for bed.

Cool stuff mate, hopefully no one is close by to see into the balcony lol

Been a shit start to the growing year in Vic, wet and cold
I’m the highest balcony so all good. I did put up the fake foliage to cover the frosted glass…when the sun shines through my side it leaves a HD shadow on the other.

Nov 18. Put my big girl (Sigourney) into her 15 gallon pot today. Repotting was very easy, I cut the 2 gallon bag bottom off, then slipped it over her head.

We have some wind and heavy rain comin next week, so made the trellis semi wind and water resistant…just simple cling wrap job wrapped around the lower-mid tier 1/4 and then added a flat section above on the 2nd top section. Plenty of air still able to circulate but very protective

The other 2 GG4 girls are still in the 2 gallon pots…they are smaller and I won’t repot till I receive the other 2 plant dolly’s late next week.

Once all 3 are in the 15 gallon pots I’ll start the weekly Neem (Mondays) and BT (Thursdays) spray routine. I’ll also feed every 4th day and monitor…feed is N 12%: P 1.4%: K 7

Gotta say…I’ve had hobbies before but this one is fuckin Ace Frehley man! Just love it

No need to spray BT until you have flowering

21sNov - Topped my big girl at the 5th node yesterday. Nothing seems to unsettle her, this morning she looks great.E5B8BEC7-4AFE-4910-8875-0EA0AA78A1EC.jpeg
Weather continues to disappoint….for the last few days it’s been nothing but strong winds, rain and low temperatures. Today’s forecast has a top of 14 degrees Celsius and 110 km/h. winds.
We are a week away from summer and this entire spring has sucked horse balls. I’ve had the girls wrapped up for 3 days which has worked well against winds.
The 2 smaller girls still in 2 gallon bags but sitting in the big bags so they can be protected via the trellis and cling wrap.
