metal halide pusle start question

so i wanna buy a metal halide ballast and wire it my self with the help of my dad
questions i had was to make a switch able ballast i must buy a hps ballast? and make the
switch to mh right?
and do i need a conversion bulb and for witch one?

and i cant use a pusle start metal halide ballast put a switch on it and then use for hps?

so that means that pusle start is out the question for a switchble?

can i a get some help?

I don't really know what your asking but I think to make a switchable ballast you have a hps ballast and a switch to bypass the hps ignition for the mh bulbs.

if i a buy a MH ballast and add the igniter for hps? was what i was asking

and the pulse start mh ballast has an igniter is what i was getting at,

another question was is getting a blue bulb color worth it?

Might I ask why you don't just get a digital ballast? They are fairly cheap and all you do is unscrew and screw to change bulbs.
