Bon Scott was great but you cant bag on Brian Johnson either. He stepped up and too the band into the 80's and 90's and now. I have a complete collection of all of their albums on vinyl including a few really rare ones. Razors egde is my favorite album and I really love whole lot of rosie

Metallica, everything before St. Anger.
Perfered w/ Cliff on bass.
Lars kicks ass on the drums, but, I can't stand his attitude.
...nothing like Metallica man...

...Megadeath's , "Countdown to extention".... if I'm feeling anarchy...LOL

Well lets see metallica and acdc shouldn't even be in the question metallica is hard rock, acdc is like stadium rock and the who beatles and the rolling stones are all classic rock all different eras of music but the answer is the who. period.

i cant bag on Brian Johnson but i can and will bag on the band[acdc] for tryin' to replace Bon Scott. How Insulting. Nothing but expendable?

idk, i find that fucked and lame; trying to replicate his voice just to keep the money flowing. Go with a diffferent singer and approach rock'n roll in a whole new way...

Led Zeppelin DIDN'T try to get another drummer. Because they KNEW that it was impossible to replace him.

yeah but at the same time the who have been touring with ringo stars son because keith moon died and they needed another drummer. Nobody's memory is ever replaced but honestly you can't stop doing what you love because someone passed away. I personally like Brian Johnson more but time keeps moving man you gotta fill spaces when spaces become vacant. Certainly this isnt true for every band like alice in chains still sucks and obviously sublime could never tour again with a new lead singer but in some cases a replacement does work.

Zeppelin. No question asked

1. Jimmy page, Jimmy page played a multitude of styles, he played many diffrent tunings and even made a couple of his own. This man is the reason bands like metalica are around. Although hes not as inventive as hendrix, he paved the way to many bands the way they are today. Also his struming techniques are ridiculous. His soloing on both electric and acuostic guitars is unreal. Alot of people shame him for his sloppyness, but that just adds to it. I like to call it awesome sloppyness, it just flows with the way he plays, i dunno how to explain it. Plus no one looks cooler with a guitar than him. I could go on and on about jimmy
2. John Paul Jones. His wicked baselines, insane organ playing, his and jimmys duets with him playing a mandolin is unreal. he kept the band together and in sinc. Hes VERY underrated
3. John Bonham. Most powerfull drummer of all time. Period. Go check his drumming on achilles last stand from knebworth
4. Last but definaly not least Robert Plant. He was blessed with that voice. Its like a fat black lady singing gospel, but he transformed it into rock.

OVerall you get the best band ever. They had their on nights and their off nights, but when they were on, man did they rock it. Alot of their stuff is under apreciated. Heres alittle clip of them playing In My Time of Dying. This shows jimmys versatitly
Fast forward to 1:08 in the second video if you want to see an insane slide guitar solo

How bout don't get ME started?

Tool has been the essence of real rock and roll for the last 20 years while your precious Zeppelin died out 30 years ago and was not as good as you feel that they were.

I grew up with Zeppelin when they were in their prime and never really got into their "bluesie" style. But needless to say I agree they were a great band.

On the other hand, Tool is a great band right now and has been for the last 20 years. Maynard has to be one of the best, if not THE best singer around today and of all time. What other rock and roll band has even come close to them over the last 20 years?

Pearl Jam? LOL!! Their first cd was probably one of the best cuts ever made. Since then? A total joke.

Who else? Metallica? Dead since 1992. I mean really.

Who else has even lasted as long as Tool has?

Enough from me. It all comes down to preference and I like music that gets me going. Zeppelin was so much fluff at times. They can't even compare to Tool or even Sabbath for that matter.

it never ceases to amaze me how underrated Queen is,
i enjoy music with complex layers, synchronized harmonies,
different sounds and textures, maybe thats why i enjoy listening to Queen over most of those bands..

Queen is my fav band but i also think that Zepplin, Beatles, the WHO, pink floyd, are good bands...

the rolling stones??? i dont think soo...

check these Queen songs, different time periods, different sounding music, still beautiful

Tool is the best band ever hands down. Led Zeppelin is also in my top ten along with Metallica. But I so disagree about Lars Ulrich. I am a drummer myself and Lars is an OK drummer at best. Have you seen them in concert? Lars messes up alot. I have seen them a few times and he always fucks up everytime. And I do not mean he changes it up a little, this dude seem to forget where he was. Monsters of Rock in the 80s I believe it was, he fucked up so bad that James even apologized for him.
