:-( Everyone has been talking about taking out the Mexican mafias in mexico. I been reading in a few places that they should be hit hard and that they need to be stopped. I had a feeling that these guys would be so relentless as to expand if they were to be targeted in their own country. When is it ever going to end? This is much, much bigger than marijuana now. We're talking international! Malaysia, Argentina, Peru, Colombia (Colombians are taking the back seat now!), and other nations. I wasn't going to say (maybe I shouldn't) but I live in Morelia, Michoacan Mex. and lately I've been seeing a GANG of choppers fly by every day. Talk's about military raiding homes and knocking on doors for routine inspections... This sux for me and my plants but I'm seriously thinking about chopping them down and giving them a proper funeral. Not sure if it's all true but I am realy considering it. fuckin' Mexicans are worse than Pakistanis now. My own people are dangerous as shit and need to be brought down! The weird thing is, you don't know who is who now in days. They all dress normal now; back in the day like 10 to 30 years ago, they would dress according to the money they made and drive vehicles that were expensive. Now you see them driving hoopties and wearing T-shirts but still filthy rich! Crazy shit I tell ya'!:peace:

What, you think that they have not learned that being stupidly ostentatious is the mark of the nouvea riche being imbecilic?

Flaunting one's ill gotten gains is stupid, to hide in plain sight so as to slip by unnoticed is perfectly sane.

The Japanese have this interesting saying, "The nail that sticks out is the first one to get the hammer."

Perhaps the cartels have realized that finally and are now trying to not stick out like a sore thumb.

Yeah, I know this. I live here. I'm just saying so that everyone has a little insight as to what is happening here on first eye witness account. A week ago I heard a shoot out from my room; turns out that it was "Narcos" vs federal police just 2 short blocks away. It was on a friday; a few dead under a bridge where the peripheral highway that loops around the city and the hwy-43 north to Salamanca. It's sad to think of all the families that have to suffer because of this, especially for the ones that have members in the cartels. They are forever worried about their kin involved with the wrong crowd and then they find out that they can no longer save them. I am not excusing the "La Familia" cartel members but their families suffer the most. My heart goes out the the law enforcement agents and their families as well for defending our streets.:peace:

Great topic and interesting read. Thanks for the link. Heard on TV the other day that 60% of the border drug violence is sparked by the lowly killer weed plant. That is real sad. Hopefully a nice left winger like Obama will legalize it soon so folks will quit fighting over it. A person would think the politicians would have learned a lesson from the failure of prohibition of alcohol but apparently they haven't, or maybe there is so much money involved they dont want to ruin it. Will nearly gurantee the big Distillers such as Seagrams which makes huge political contributions would not want to see it made legal.

Sounds like your right, someone should organize something to bribe politicians into believing that most of the money made from marijuana sales will be contributed to them; that is when we will see marijuana legal :). Even obama said : "When I was a kid I inhaled frequently. That was the point."

This is true; somewhat. the main reason why Mexican cartels are getting rich is because the Colombians were not allowed to use the cannels through Cuba anymore and were in need of a new route. So they hired a poor Mexican family in Sinaloa, MX which became the most powerful family in Mexico. Soon after that, the Sinaloa family was recruting other families and also swaying small towns in the middle of nowhere into making money from growing something that was already normal to them. Marijuana has been used in everything from witchcraft to medicine out here so it was not a big deal + they earned money and gifts from these drug lords. Soon they became smart because of the war on drugs and started infiltrating the ranks of the U.S. and Mexican military forces to gain weaponry and skills. These guys even hired young kids to join the military to learn and then get back at them with secret information and technology. Mexicans are too eager and greedy when shown that they have a little power. Gotta give it to them, they are very smart. They have always been preparing for a huge event like this and this is why they are networking by force across the globe: from Argentina to Malasya.:peace:

I blame the government. If they just legalized it then it could be regulated and there would be no illicit pot market for the cartels to make billions in.

Of course, they would also need to legalize all the other drugs, but what right does D.C. have to dictate to us what we do with our own bodies.

Of course, some of the side-effects are... rather nasty for some of the other drugs.

Jimmy Carter was a dumb ass, more impressive are the RP quotes to the same effect, he actually provides a much better reasoning, not the government's job.

The only way to end this is legalization.
The Violence involved with the production-thru-final sale is rediculus.
Big Pharma could produce any hard drug they want.
Cheaper, cleaner and safer then jungle bandits.
Big Pharma would make a nice profit they could put towards cancer research.
They would put the cartels out of busness.

But for some reason Government believes they need to protect us from ourselves.
Seems to me they want to militarize the police.
hmmm.

I'm not going to comment on the irony of that quote coming from some one that then went and forcefully made people remain under a government that they did not want, and did not feel represented them any longer.

Good quote, but it fails when examined against Lincoln's actually track record.

hey xeno in the article ive posted below it talks about a new strain of marijuana being grown by cartels in your area.high yields,cant be killed with pesticides, can be planted and harvested all year long. the strain is called "Colombians".i was wondering if u know anything about this strain...sounds like a super auto flowering to me.
