Wats up guys. I transplanted my 3 week old plants to miracle grow potting mix and its the one that feeds up to 6 months. Its my understanding that everytime I water, ferts and nuts are released so I want to know how often and how much to water without overfeeding ?

Water when you put your fingers a few inches into the soil and it feels dry. I have never used this type of soil. I have heard bad things about the time release ferts though.

In Fact!!! MG Potting Mix N-P-K is only 0.21-0.07-0.14 and FE(iron) is 0.10 and will not overfeed your plant, you can still supplement your own nutrients since the
fertilizer amounts in the soil are so minute. It wasn't made specifically for the cultivation of cannabis so even if it feed for UP TO 6 months it will be gone a lot sooner
since cannabis eats more than the flowers/plants that this type of mix is made for.Look at the back of the bag to verify that the NPK is correct although im sure it is.
I Feed my plants with bloom plus 10-54-10 and it has a lot more NPK than my soil. Compare 10-54-10 to the NPK of the soil it's not even remotely close.

No, no, no, no, no. Man, there is a lot of mis-education out there.
There are no time release anything in MG PM. The nutrtients are
in the organic material mixed with the soil and perlite. Most of the
nutrients are in the form of wood chips in the soil. What is time release about that?

BigSteve. PS -- I use MG PM exclusively.

Cool story bro,but i wouldn't tell it to nobody else since the bag we are speaking of contains small balls of fertilizer that you can squeeze and they will shoot out fertilizer.
MG potting mix may have a few small pieces of tree stems but not wood chips which would suck nitrogen right out of the soil and it is peat based.
