This grow will consist of strains I have crossed myself. All Strains derive from Alaskan Thunderfuck (aka Matanuska Thunderfuck),Soma A+(aka Rock Bud),Mighty Might, and a local Indica that has been around a long time. All strains can be grown outdoors as well as indoors. Sorry if a grow like this does not interest you but IMHO the seed game is a scam so I make my own. $10 as much as $40 a seed lol. Much like the dispensary's that are getting $80 an eighth for Alaskan Thunderfuck. Non-profit my ass.

Appalachian Rock Bud
Appalachian Thunderfuck
Mighty Thunderfuck

Grow Media:
5 Parts Premier Pro-Mix BX w/ Mycorise
5 Parts FFOF (Fox Farm Ocean Forest)

All seedlings were topped and bottom 2 nodes were removed 2 days ago. I remove bottom 2 nodes for better plant transpiration, ease of watering and feeding, but most of all because I want all energy directed to top of plant.

I will veg these 7 seedlings for 4 weeks now. They will not be fed . They will live off soil amendments and water only.I will then sex them. Either way I will cull 3 plants in 4 weeks. I will then transplant 4 of the plants from 3 gal to 10 gal containers. I will then veg the 4 plants I transplanted in 10 gal pots another 4 weeks. While feeding half strength Humboldt Nutrients.

Enough for now I guess. sorry to be so long winded. I just wanted to be as detailed as possible for anyone whom wanted to come along for the ride. I will keep all future posts on this journal shorter.

Have a great day all. Look forward to your comments/criticisms,suggestions.

Ok, good day all. I am going to give you a chronological order of events on these plants to catch you up on how they got to this point.

12/11/11- Began germination on 5 Appalachian Thunderfuck, 5 Appalachian Rock Bud, and 5 Mighty Thunderfuck using the seed between paper towels and 2 plates method. I used a propagation mat set at 75 F. These seeds are all from this summers grow.

12/13/11- All 15 beans popped. Planted all 15 beans in solo cups. I use a watered down version of my adult plant grow media without any additional soil amendments. 3 parts promix, 1 part FFOF, 1 part EWC's. I also completely saturate all solo cups with H2O.

12/16/11- All beans have sprouted and broken ground.

12/17/11- Watered all seedlings to the point of saturation.

12/21/11- Topped off all seedlings with grow media and completely saturated all seedlings with H2O.

12/25/11- Completely saturated all seedlings with H2O.

12/29/11- Completely saturated all seedlings with H2O.

12/31/11- Potted up 7 of the 15 seedlings. Went from solo cups to 3 gal pots. Before transplanting in holes, I sprinkle 1/4 tsp of White Widow(Endo-Mycorrhizae) in hole to make direct contact with roots. The manufacturer recommends it every feeding but IMHO the only time this stuff works is when it comes in direct contact with the roots. So therefore I only use when transplanting. To be perfectly honest I do not go by the nutrient manufacturer's recommendations on the feeding charts. I prefer to let the plants tell me what they need. That and a little common sense works best for me. I also brewed a tea of Mayan Mycrozyme (Bacterial Enzomamatic Concentrate) and Honey ES (Food for Bacteria) for 48 hrs prior to transplanting. I then saturated the seedlings with this brew after transplant. Discarded of the other 8 seedlings.

1/4/12- Topped all 7 seedlings at the 4th node.

1/6/12- Removed bottom 2 nodes from all 7 seedlings. All 7 seedlings now have only 2 nodes.

Note:
All plants are moved one spot clockwise daily. Also all plants are rotated one quarter turn weekly.

Ok, this should get you up to date. I will be posting photos once a week throughout this grow. If you have any questions, comments, or constructive criticisms please feel free to opine.

1/12/12-Culled an Appalachian Thunderfuck. It was growing a set of balls.(Male)Now down to 6 plants to choose from in 6 weeks.

Moved light away from wall to allow more space for plants to grow.

Topped the second Appalachian Thunderfuck for the second time.

Saturated remaining 6 plants with a Humboldt Honey ES and H2O solution. They each took about one half gallon. Honey ES was diluted 5ml per gal of H2O.

1/13/12-Moved light up 1 "

2 weeks after transplant into 3 gal buckets all looks well. 2 more weeks in the 3 gal then I will choose 4 for 10 gal buckets.

Thank you in advance for any comments. Have a great day all catch you next week.

Last weeks events:

1/24/12- Moved light up 1"
1/25/12- Saturated all 4 plants with a Honey ES and H2O solution. 5 ml per gallon
1/28/12- Transplanted all 4 plants from 3 gal pots to 10 gal pots. After transplant I saturated all 4 plants with a Honey ES, Myco Madness,Humic Acid,Folic Acid, H2O solution. I also installed some additional lighting today. 600w HPS with a MH conversion bulb.

Well this week was a pretty good week. The highlight of this week took place on Saturday when I was able to pick up some new used lighting. I was able to do some trading for a 600w HPS Ballast,Reflector, and Bulb. I also acquired a 400w HPS Ballast,Reflector, and Bulb. In addition to the lights mentioned above I got a 2 ft. t5 HO that will fit nicely over my humidity dome and cloning table. While I was there I noticed he had thrown a digital timer in the trash. I asked him why it was in the trash. He said it did not work right. Knowing this fellow I thought it might be operator error, so I asked if he minded if I took it. LOL it works flawlessly.

The one bad thing about going there was when he took me into his flower room to take the lighting down there were 6 dead plants in there completely full of spider mites. Man I was bumming when I saw that. When I got home I stripped down bare-ass naked in the mud room and went directly to the shower. I left everything I got from him outside overnight. When I brought it in I completely douched everything with bleach.

I am going to re bulb everything I got from him. I ordered the 400w and 600w Hortilux Super HPS. He was using those cheap ass $25 Ultra Sun Bulbs. Believe it or not the crazy bastard was using a metal halide with the 400w HPS. I am hoping he has not damaged the igniter. The 2 metal halides he gave me were all charred. They went directly to my hazardous material barrel. The only descent bulb I got was a Sunmaster 600w conversion bulb which had never been used. I will use it for the next 4 weeks in conjunction with my Badboy to finish vegging. After that I will not use it. I plan on picking up a second Badboy for veg on my next indoor grow. I found the 1 Badboy is just not enough light for 4 plants that are vegged for 8 weeks. The plants just get to big to get good coverage.

Now I have enough lighting for separate veg, clone and flower rooms. I will post some pics tomorrow of the new gear. I should have done before and after photos. When I picked the ballasts and hoods up you could not even tell they were white. After giving them a good douche they now look brand new. It is no wonder this guy has chronic spider mite problems, he is a pig.

Well I guess thats about it for last week. Hope you all had a good week. Catch you folks next week. Have a great day all.
