MH conversion bulb ?

Hope I can explain this so people understand ;; I have a MH ballast and bought to 600 watt bulbs from vivosun .. The 1st bulbs I bought say HPS the 2nd bulbs say MH conversion bulbs … Now the conversion bulbs say they are to be used in HPS ballast which I don't have can someone help me out ?
This is why i'm confused ;;;; if I remember right about 30 years ago most growers bought MH systems (ballast) and as a bonus at flowering time you could buy a HPS conversion bulb for your MH ballast ..They cost a fortune , like $100 a bulb ….but now I have a MH bulb conversion for a HPS ballast which I don't have ….I don't know i'm sick as a dog and really not thinking straight and just cant grasp this today .
So I posted both bulbs I bought if someone can look at them and tell me if they will work in my MH ballast that would be great , i'm sure once my head clears and I can actually read shit and understand I could figure it out but being sick i'm all fucked up and this will just bother me thinking about it ….
Maybe the MH conversion bulb will work in my MH ballast fine but I need a HPS conversion bulb for my MH ballast like we use to buy …..do they even make just MH/HPS only ballast anymore or are bulbs inner changeable ?

I think you may have done it backwards. Mh conversion bulb is an hps bulb that has been “converted” to a more mh like spectrum, but will still run on an hps ballast. Could be wrong ive never used conversion bulbs....

I already have 2 mh hps conversion bulbs I just got , I can use them right ? no sense in just letting them sit if I can
You can use them but they won't be as efficient as straight up MH or HPS bulbs. The conversion bulbs usually have a lower lumen number than the straight up bulbs. What ones did you get? Do you have a link?

You might run them for a grow cycle then purchase better bulbs and keep these as backups. Nothing beats Philips or Hortilux bulbs, for HPS anyway.

Cool, the HPS is a normal HPS lamp and should be used for flowering. Use the MH conversion bulb for veg and if you want for the last 10 - 14 days of flower to boost resin production.

Happy growing!

As long as you are not running them in a vertical orientation you will be alright. The HPS is likely universal but most metal halides are horizontal only.
