hi guys
can i use 250watt mh lamp for rooting clones and baby plants ?
or should i use florouscent for rooting clones and new baby plants ?
i will use it in 80 X 80 grow tent for only vegging & cloning
and ,
can 250 watt hps be used in 125 mm X 490MM cooltube ?
i saw mh is more bellied than HPS ..

and one more question:
i will keep them under 250 watt MH for first 15 &20 day untill when i transplant.
after first 15-20 day,i will transplant them bigger pots and they will go under 600 watt hps for 10 days more vegging..
as a result,the girls will be vegging first 15 days under 250 watt MH.and after first 15 days,they will be vegging under 600 watt hps.total vegging period 15 days under mh and 15 days under hps =30 days.(15 + 15 = 30 )
after 30 days i will start 12/12 flowering period under 600 watt hps.
i want to know if it is a problem to use first 15 days mh for vegging and next 15 days hps for vegging.should i use only mh or only hps for vegging plant ?mixing them will be stressed my plants ?

Most clones don't enjoy intense light, and will root faster with less, any kind of MH lamp is overkill for rooting clones, flouros are the way to go.

Switching light spectrums isn't a stress issue, but you'll be better off using MH for the entire veg period, as well as the first week of 12/12 to help minimize stretching.

I am not sure about your cool tube question.
Clones and seedlings do well under flouro lighting early on. MH is best for vegging once the clones are rooted and seedlings established. You just have to keep it a good distance or you will fry the young ones. Then switch to HPS for flowering. I hope that helps. You will get a better yield if you veg them longer.

i will start solo cups and after 15 days, i will transplant them to their last bigger 15 litre pots.i will use 80X80 cm growtent for vegging and cloning, and therefore after first 15 days,i cant still keep on under mh because vegging tent is not enough big.therefore after transplanting bigger pots, i'll put them under hps in my 120cm grow tent..
but i am open to any new idea ..

what do you mean ''early '' ? please give me approximate time..how many days should i use flouro and when should i use MH ?
i saw on forums many people use only HPS from seed to harvest..to use MH for new plants & clones is really problem ?
i am very newbie..

i will use heated propagator for rooting clones..for the best result, what can i do ?
when the clones in propagator ,i should use flouro..it is ok..but when will i start to use MH ?

sorry for my annoying questions but i am confused.

thanks guys

Hey don't worry, I'm a newb too and I had similar questions. I finally decided that I will use flouros for the first two weeks of seedlings growth, for 2-3 days for transplanting both seedlings and clones. Then I'll switch to 250w MH for veg and during the first week of 12/12 like professor said to minimize stretching. Basically, flouros are for nursing the plants while they're weak, MH is for supporting solid veg growth, and hps strictly for flowering. Keep it simple and you'll relieve your stress lol!
