who knows what the rules are for making extracts?

manufacturing extracts?

with butane and such?
not to bust anyones balls...


i am wondering what the specifics are if anyone knows......?
i would appreciate any info-

i am curious if it is in the law about making extracts with butane or is it just a blanket statement about 'extracts'....
-my curiosity is about the particulars or process of making it specifically-

does it say anything specifically about the process and legalities of it??

I don't actually know, but I would imagine if they do regulate it, that it would be illegal for most of us in most circumstances. I can't see them wanting just anyone trying to blow them selves up. Even if most of us know lighter fluid is flameable.

I hate to admit it but the grey area of the law around concentrates is questionable to say the least . It all depends on the test cases here in the near future unless some fuckhead introduces a bill and has enough money to pass it . The Govt of course see's this action as a clandestine lab , one with nothing but ill mannered intentions fueled by crime and drug lords .. Its fucking sad too when we have stupid fucks and dumb kids making shit and blowing themselves up in the course of action ..

Its only a matter of time before the craft becomes a felony here as well , just like California :( .. I know many people have mastered many forms of extraction including myself but in the end our days will be outlawed and we will become villains as we are already deemed ..

I make oil and I use Alcohol as a stripping agent and I refuse to stop as the oil heals many people and that alone is worth the fight .. I am Pro Medical/Recreation but at this time in era here we all know how the opposition feels about medical and recreational as they can not really comprehend separation of the two . The recreational users have gained a path for the Medical we all know and now the medical field finds the path clouded due to the rec users and that spells trouble for both parties as we are really one no matter

I look at it this way my friend , Our Govt knows that Cannabis is the most powerful plant in this world and it is the very reason for it being outlawed.. Cannabis concentrates are even more powerful drugs and that is a big no no here as all one needs to do is study the penalty of law for Hash possession in any state . Hash the mother of all concentrates :) My favorite if made right from the right pot ! I think our Govt will just lump all concentrates under Hash in due time and then the prisons will be refilled as they wish !

there really is nothing in the law regarding extracts 'specifically'....??

just wanted to put that out....

yes the corporations have all these products allready developed --
..packaged
....and ready for market

they just need a dispensary bill for market access and then it really will be illegal to be making this kind of stuf in your home

Extracts are protected as a 'mixture or preparation thereof' per the definition of usable marijuana in the sec. 3 definitions.

I would like to believe this but in all honesty the opposition uses concentrates as a guise to label us as being comparable to Meth Addicts .
I keep reading your signature Greg , while thinking about a 800 lb ball of hash , maybe I could declare it as medicine banked until the next seasons harvest ?

Greg is actually correct on this one. When making extracts and oil, the weight of the oil counts the same. Doesn't matter if it is 2.5 oz of bud or 2.5 oz of oil, it is 2.5 oz. The problems with oils and extracts is that they may require dangerous chemicals to make, generate waste, risk of fire, etc. Those have to be properly managed just like any other chemical/manufacturing process. You also have to be careful about the raw cannabis used to make them, you might have issues with weights.

I am aware of a case in the UP where they (the prosecutor) tried to say concentrates were not 'medical' but don't think they got anywhere with that.

Well said Doc , but luckily we can extract fresh material using ice and water to avoid the weight issue at the beginning of the procedure , verses extracting dry material with flammable substances . Wet Material extracted with Ice water will retain more terpenes as well and they too hold medicinal value .

I speak above upon the movement as a whole and of the op-positional view of extracts in general . I know we have legal grounds but I do believe there will be many test caes in due time thanks to those like the guy in Jackson last week who failed at making Butane Oil leading himself into a raid :(

I am now more interested in Cannabinoids in Juice and the legality that will follow this too .. In the end the Big Brother will have a say in everything .

I had several grams of hash confiscated by police, and they were later returned to me. I think the law is very clear, and there is no restriction that prohibits the production of derivatives. The important consideration is safety. If you blow up your neighbor's dog, there will be hell to pay.

Back in the day, we didn't have Toys r us. We were poor. Every year at Christmas my brother and I got a brand new pair of shoes. We were only a couple of shoe sizes different, so every day he wore one, and I wore the other, and very other day we switched. We tied a piece of string to the box and pulled it around, because that is all we had to play with.

We need to get this shit legalized so the moneygrubbers have to be honest about their intent and advertising.
